I love this! I watched a program on HSN when buying my pearls which instructed one on how to make a torsade pearl necklace with a clasp. I then located this clasp on HSN. It is delicate and quite lovely. Very versatile and can also be used for attaching a pendant to my "torsade". Soooo much fun! THANKS!!

Nearley broke my fingernail trying to undo the security latch, than struggled to open it,and was difficult to reconnect it. A great idea if it would operate with ease!

I had a pearl necklace in mind when I bought this item and this worked well to shorten this to a choker.
It also makes a possible site to attach enhancers without harming your pearls, or other delicate types of jewelry.

I was unable to open the clasp to even attempt to use it as a clasp. I am not sure if it was defective or the product itself is just not functionable. I am very disappointed. It is going back.

This was a great price and a great addition to my jewelry box. I can use it as an enhancer or a clasp to double up longer necklaces. I'm happy with it. I don't know how people have a problem with it if they read the description and/or watched the video.

You need to read reviews and not just go by the number of stars. This has a low review from people who can't read. This is not a braclet nor a ring. This is what it says....a clasp. This makes long strand of jewlery into a more creative way to wear your long strands. I wish that people would read or call customer service if they don't under stand. The reviews on this is false. I love mine and wish I could also get one in 18K gold.

I don't understand all the controversy about this little piece. I just got two of them and they're great. I can now do so many things with many of my necklaces I couldn't before and also mix and twist them together. It's like doubling my wardrobe of necklaces and styles at such a minimal cost!! Thx HSN!

I HAVE THIS IN STERLING AND ONE IN A GOLDTONE. AS PREVIOUS REVIEWERS MENTIONED THIS IS A VERY VERSITILE CLASP. I ACTURALLY WISH THEY HAD IT IN THE SMALLER SIZE TO USE TO HANG PENDANTS WITH (THEY SELL ONLINE FOR @ $50 FOR STERLING). I USE THESE A LOT WITH MY VERY LONG PEARLS AND THE GOLD WITH VERY LONG CHAIN NECKLACES THAT ARE SO POPULAR NOW. BEING 5'2", I NEED TO SHORTEN THESE UP. I HOPE THEY NEVER STOP OFFERING THESE!

Initially a little tight to open and close but seems to be loosen up a bit. A little pricey for what you get, but VERY versatile. I will use this alot! Not only will it turn any longer length necklace into a torsade, but you can hang the clasp in the front and also slide a pendant on it when you normally wouldn't be able to hang a pendant if the necklace didn't have a clasp already.

I agree with the other reviewer who said "seriously -- did you read the title"?? This clearly says it's an oval clasp, and that is exactly what it is. I would never, EVER purchase something based only on a photo -- GOOFY!! This is a really nice and handy item to have to shorten OR extend mostly beaded or larger link necklaces -- I LOVE IT! It can also be used as a pendant bale on some items -- not all, but some. I can't say enough good about this, I'm so glad I purchased it.

Seriously, if you READ the product description, there is no way to misunderstand that this a good quality CLASP. It's very well made and works well to add options for wearing long necklaces in many different ways. But yes, a photo detailing it's use or a video would be helpful. Also a great price for sterling silver.

Just like some of the previous reviews,thought that this was a bangle bracelet. I am aware of the function of this item, had a few back in the day...80's. I think I even used it with scarfs too, just going to have to play with it for a bit to refresh the ole' memory.

I have been a customer of HSN for some Years now and I have never been so disappointed in a product I was unable to see the review and thought it was a bangle. My ninety three year old mother thought it was a ear ring and wondered were the other one was. First time in 18 years I have been disappointed with a product from HSN hope you do better next time. The picture is misleading should state what the product is at top of discription.

Okay, I ordered this because it is a great piece for torsades and for making a longer necklace or two longer necklaces into a belt. Many years ago, I got several and they were much smaller in size, so this one is pretty great! It needs to be tight enought to lock and not open - use it a few times and it will become easier.
