I HAVE BEEN SEWING FOR 20 YEARS MOSTLY ON INDUSTRIAL MACHINES. NEEDED SOMETHING THAT DIDN'T TAKE UP SO MUCH SPACE. THIS MACHINE IS MUCH FASTER THAN REGULAR HOME MACHINES YET SMALL. THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE IS THE DIFFICULTY IN CHANGING THE FEET. ZIPPER FOOT BROKE WHILE TRYING TO PUT IT ON THE ATTACHMENT. TRIED TO GET A MACHINE FOR MY SISTER BUT THEY WERE SOLD OUT .

I'm glad I finally got this case. It does well with keeping dust off my new machine. There's a little room to keep some extras in the case along with the machine. Just wish the price was a little lower.

I am thrilled with the HD110 sewing machine and I've only had it three days! After turning it on, the first thing I noticed was its speed. Even winding a bobbin was quick. WOW!!! The second thing was its ability to sew heavy, thick layers of fabric. I tested it sewing multiple layers of outdoor canvas and it didn't miss a stitch. It reminds me of the machines I used in a sewing factory summer job when I was in college.
The only problem I had was identifying the extra feet included since they weren't in the user manual. Singer was able to help me solve that mystery.
I bought it for Home Dec sewing and would highly recommend it to anyone who sews heavy fabrics.

I love this machine! It really has a powerful motor, speed, and quality to match. I couldn't wait to use it on my heavier materials and it didn't disappoint me!

I just received my machine today and could not wait to get it set up and running. I read all of the reviews on this machine and took them all to heart when making my decision to buy. I'm glad the good reviews outnumbered the bad ones because what I found bad was very minor.
The threading of the machine was a little different, but all machines have their little quirky threadings. I played around with the machine for a while to "get to know it" like the instructions said. Then I took it for a spin and pushed it hard. It performed just as I hoped it would. I absolutely love the speed!
So if you are looking for a good, sturdy, simple machine, that can take on any job, this one is the one to buy. And the price is right too. I looked at this same machine at a sewing center and it was well over $400.
Love it...in Denver, CO

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because the DVD was missing and I had to call Singer to have it shipped. After I received it I realized that it didn't help. There are 13 feet with this machine, and only 2 of these are on the DVD. It focuses on about 4 or 5 feet that did not come with the set. The basics are in the instruction book, but I know the basics. I have sewn for over 30 years and I have never used some of the feet that came with the "value added package". (It also appears that the "value added" feet duplicate the the feet in the basic set, just metal versions of the 1/4" foot and the blind hem foot.) For some reason, I thought there would be a least a mention on how to use the more uncommon feet. Some of these are not on the Singer website either. Please include the instructions.

This machine does everything it says it can do. It can sew through 3 layers of thick leather without a leather needle-perfect stitches. The threading is very unusual for a sewing machine a little bit frustrating - Took about 6 tries to get the bobbin and threading figured out. If this machine isn't threaded correctly or bobbin placed correctly it will give you poor stitches. I was surprised how much power it has along with the great stitch quality. Its a keeper!!

I got this machine because I make artist teddy bears and wanted a heavy duty machine. Unfortunately, the needle threader is very cumberson and gets in the way of my worrk. The machine also does not let me do finely detailed work which is sometimes necessary when putting in pawpads and stitching in tight areas. Also had a lot of problems after filling a bobbin. Many times, the stitches would bunch along the bottom. Just wasn't a very smooth running machine.

I received my Heavy Duty Singer sewing machine last week and love it. I do a lot of quilt projects and it does everything I expect of it. I wish I would have had it years ago.
I give it 5 stars easily.

I recently started a new business and found that it was necessary to purchase a machine that would be able to sew through heavy fabric as well as multiple layers of fabrics. Well to my delight; the Singer Heavy Duty Professional Sewing Machine is that and more. It is sturdy, durable and easy to use.
This new "monster machine" is fast becoming my new favorite. Planning a few new home decor projects!!!! Absolutely love it!!!

Hi - I received my Singer last month and have had some time to use it. I found it a very user-friendly machine. It is sturdy, except the very lightweight plastic foot pedal. It sews through multiple layers of fabric with ease. The plastic pressure feet included are "cheap", so I ordered a set of metal feet for $25 onlne. I love the simplicity of this machine. It is great for lots of projects, hemming jeans, mending, etc. I have an embroidery machine, but do not use it for everyday! I hope this is helpful for you.

I disagree with the good feedback I have seen. I used it for a couple of days and had so many problems. Sometimes the feet would stop moving while the needle was still trying to sew away. It shakes like there is an earthquake. There might as well not even be a light bulb in the thing. Sometimes the thread would not pull through the tentioner, even though the presser foot was up, making it hard to pull the thread. Take it from someone who runs a sewing business, "This machine is awful!"

This machine has a heavy duty motor that breezes through even the toughest sewing jobs. I sew curtains for my home and patio and this machine allows me to move along quickly and get done. It also has a 25 year limited guarantee on the head. I bought a cheaper Singer machine a few months ago. It would only do very light jobs, and the bobbin case and internal parts are made of plastic. It was a waste of money. It's better to go ahead and spend more to get this better quality machine.

I have NEVER given an HSN product a bad review 'til now-- but this sewing machine is a lemon. The presser foot won't stay on. The settings won't stay in place. I can't even get the bobbin to rise through!!! I tried to give it a chance, but it's completely cheap parts and manufacturing.

This machine was ready to sew right out of the box. The tension was perfect and I am in the process of hemming 4 pairs of jeans on it. It is a great machine for the price. I plan to use it for a home business---it has a commercial warranty. Overall great basic machine. I am very happy with my purchase.

This machine won't sew through the fabric my regular machine will. It was made in Brazil in is the cheapest Built machine I've ever owned. The insides are all plastic.
I bought this machine so i could use it for mid-weight upholstery fabric for pillows. It will not hold tension and snarls the bobbin every inch or so. Since my repair shop cherages a minimum of 70.00 to work on a machine It is just sitting on my work table taking up space. I'm so disappointed.

My husband bought this for me last year after I complained about my old sewing machine. This is the best machine I have ever used. My family loves this machine too. The extended table is great, never sew without it. In the year that I've had the machine I have maybe only broken 2-3 needles EVER. This machine is so tough that it has sewn through 4 layers of interfaced fabric on top of Peltex. I use this in my home business every day. It's a great machine and an investment well worth every penny
