THIS IS MY FIRST TIME USING A BROTHER. I TOOK IT OUT OF THE BOX AND BEGAN SEWING. YES IT WAS SEEEEW EASY!!! IT 'S VERY SMOOTH AND HAS A NUMBER OF FEATURES COMPARED TO THE SIZE OF THE MACHINE. THE FIRST TIME I USED IT I WENT THROUGH ALL THE FEATURES IN ABOUT AN HOUR.
THIS MACHINE IS TERRIFIC.!!!! I LOVE THE FLEX PAY PLAN. THANKS HSN.

I've only used it a few times, but am thrilled with how smooth it sews, how easy it was to get started and thread up, and LOVE the needle threader! I like the push button controls and the speed control also. I think it has a lot of features and extras for the price, I'm very happy with my purchase and appreciate the flex pay option!

I haven't had much time with my new machine but it comes with a lot of items.
I did sew my husbands jeans pocket and ran smoothly.
I really like the ease use.
It is a bit high tech for me but I will take on the challenge!

i hadnt bought a sewing machine in20 years and boy have they changed. this one is great for a beginner to intermediate person sewing. it is very easy to thread and really quiet. I would definately recommend.

I love this easy to use and great for first time machine owners. So far it feels like a nice machine not cheap. Does many stiches and am having fun using it.

I was up and running on this machine in minutes, never before owning my own sewing machine.
I was able to convert my children's jeans into shorts simply by using the appropriate needle included with the machine.

I am pleased with the quality of the stitches. It is quiet and has good lighting for sewing projects. Haven't quite figured out how to thread the automatic threader, but all else is great! It replaces a 10 year old Singer. Always had a Singer, but decided to try Brother after research and high reviews. So glad I did!!! This machine is a great value, and comes with additional extras if you order from HSN. I would recommend this machine and look forward to many years of happy sewing!

I am still a beginning quilter, but I had outgrown my old, very basic machine. This is the perfect next step. I started using it right out of the box, and have been very pleased! I really enjoy the option of either using the foot controller or the start/stop button to sew. Plus, the speed options are really great for when I'm just zipping along, or need to slow down to really take care. I would buy this machine again for sure!

I love this machine! I switched from a Singer Simple to this machine. It has a lot of bells & whistles, much more than my old Singer did. It is super easy to use & very quiet. The only time that I get to sew is when my 3 children are either napping or sleeping for the night. The extras that you get with this machine are an unbelievable value. It runs great and I use it every day.

I have been sewing my whole life. This machine is awesome! I've been sewing practically every day for the past month that I've owned it. I'm working on my 2nd quilt & took a break to write this review. By the way, I ordered another machine (singer embroidery/sewing combo) over Christmas & returned it because it was too frustrating. I am very picky and want my money's worth! I have yet to be disappointed with anything Brother. I especially love this machine's beautiful stich selection.

This is my first sewing machine. It is so easy to use. I am learning to sew and was able to finish a project within a few hours of receiving it. So this is a very user friendly machine. So lightweight yet so powerful. Extra bobbins and attachments can be easily purchased online. thank you HSN for having this on flex pay. In todays economy this really helps.

just received the sewing machine, not quite like photo, but nice and quiet, great stitching, I had to put my old machine down, it was losing a pet, I am happy with this little gem. Light, and easy to sew with, good booklet with info. I sew almost everyday, so I am hoping this one will be my new best friend.

My sewing machine broke so I needed a quick fix. I found this machine. It has everything my old machine had, except the 1/4" foot which I had to buy separately ($10 part # is SA185). I promised my 11 yr old she could have this machine once I ordered a "better" one. Boy, I wish I didn't say that! Not only does this machine have the drop in bobbin and the needle up/down feature (neither is mentioned in the description) it's so quiet, and tons more stitches! Great value, lightweight too!

This machine "Is The Greatest"I opened the box and got my book and did as it said and in no time I was sewing and I haven't sewed on a machine since the 60's. Very easy to use and the speed button is great.Thanks Hsn for making me Happy.I have made to pillow covers since yesterday and I'm on my third.I LOVE THIS MACHINE. Sandy W.

the thing i love the most about this machine is, it tell you what foot to use you put in the number and it tell you the foot letter, i was never sure about what one to use now i know

I've been sewing since is was 9 and used many machines and this one is by far the best machine i have used yet. I recently started quilting, which is the reason i bought this machine, and it's so wonderful to use. It makes me want to sew even more. I can't get enough of it. I love the multi speeds and the needle down and all the quilt stitches. Thank you so much.

I have this machine, but did not purchase it from HSN. This is a great machine for all levels of sewers. I quilt and do basic things on this machine, and have a Serger (from HSN) and a very basic Singer as well, but this is by far my favorite machine. It is so fun to use all the different stiches for the intended use as well as decorative
