This is a good quality skillet.... Best of the best in cast iron. It comes pre-seasoned which is a major plus when purchasing cast iron. The price is more than reasonable for a cast iron skillet of this quality. Good skillet for a first-time purchaser/user of cast iron. Good skillet for anyone used to using cast iron and expects the best.

My grandmother had cast iron skillets,with great results and now I am getting great results too.This skillet cooks food evenly and fast,clean-up is easy too.Money well spent...

Bacon doesn't shrink like it does in other pans and is SO crispy. Fried chicken comes out just like my grandmother used to make. Cleanup is a breeze. just swish in hot water and scrub with a plastic scrubber. Dry off a bit and place back on a burner on medium heat. After a few minutes I remove from the heat and, while still warm, add about a tablespoon of vegetable oil and wipe the entire cooking surface. Then remove all of the remaining oil and that's it!

Love it!My Father-in-Law makes a Wonderful Christmas Eve Dinner, 40+years.Last Christmas Dinner was at our house.I bought Emerils pan as BackUp if Dad forgot his.We used both pans,same time,same food,Emerils cooked more evenly,cleaner oil entire time,easier CleanUp,both handles easier to move pan,Excellent Quality.Emeril We All Love Your pan,ThankYou!!

Super great deal on a great skillet, I love the skillet, it will last you a lifetime literally, heavy duty, large, I can use it in the oven too, top of the line, so much better than the nonstick disposable pans.

I would return this pan but it's too late now. Didn't use it right away, but when I finally did I found that the pan "wobbles" on my glass-top stove and burns everything in the middle of the pan while barely cooking around the edges. And....the roughness of the interior bottom sounds like sandpaper when using a spatula. Don't buy this one.

These are the thickest I have seen on the market. I looked at high-end stores (Williams Sonoma and Sur La Table)! I bought the 10 and 12 inch skillets for my daughter. She is THRILLED, especially the quality; and she is a kitchen equipment snob! Emeril's skillets are priced at or lower than "inferior" brands and lower than the recommended "Lodge" brand found at other stores. Emeril's is BY FAR superior to "Lodge" in thickness and quality. If you are looking for cast-iron, these are THE BEST.
