I was so excited when I received this item because I have so many of Wolfgang's products and have been so happy with all of them. The first time I used this item my food ended up with black specs going thru it...I threw the food out and when I washed the wok the bottom was completely a gray ash...I called and had to pay a shipping charge of $12.95 in order to get a new wok, which when I did received the wok I only got the bottom part of it....Thank Heavens I didn't return the item before I received this one because half the pieces I need would of been missing.I went online and it seems this is a regular occurrence with some reviews. So I waited until my new one came and when I used it this time I did a slower heat....It did it again!!! This time not as bad as before, so I put some water in the wok and put it on high temperature and the bottom did the same...black specs and when it dries it has a gray ash in the bottom where the heat is generated. I was very disappointed.

it's well made. heavy but it sits still while i'm stirring the pot. love the detachable burner. the sear option is getting a lot of use. i use the wok every night. it's amazing how many different dishes can be prepared in that wok.
now let's hope the non stick surface hangs on to the unit. I only use silicon utensils & don't use the dishwasher on it.

I PURCHSED THIS PRODUCT 3-4 MONTHS AGO AND WAS IN LOVE WITH IT. I FOLLOWED DIRECTIONS AND KEPT THE SURFACE OILED BUT THE BOTTOM IS DETERIORATING..NO HARD UTENSILS WERE USED. VERY DISAPPOINTED AS I HAVE PURCHASED A COUPLE OF HIS PIECES..

The first thing I made was POPCORN. It was just like on tv. Then I made beef/broccoli over brown rice. Even though I've made it before, making it in the wok made it like it was from take-out. My family didnt belive i made it. Everything comes out much better than cooking in a skillet on the stove. The wok gets much hotter. You did a perfect job on this one. Now I just need the stainless steel steamer insert and i'm all set.

I got this wok about 3 weeks ago. I tried home-made spaghetti, and seared the onions and garlic in olive oil then put the meat in, and lightly browned it before I turned it down to high and finished adding my ingredients. The best sauce ever. I also have cooked noodles in it. Yes, I boiled water and added the noddles, so this machine does everything. Try popcorn. Wow. Thanks Wolfgang. You really take the time to make special items that make life fun in the kitchen, and Thank you to HSN.

I LOVE this wok & use it daily. I stir fry often & have tried many woks-this WOK ROCKS! This one is large enough to make a stir fry for my family of five!
I have cooked chicken, hamburgers, eggs, pancakes,etc and am beyond impressed!
And clean up is a snap-the grime wipes away easily.
I haven't used the cookbook yet because it's not necessary- you can use this wok for everything and no special recipes are required.

My New Deluxe Electric Wok came yesterday. I cooked the Stir-Fry Chicken & Cashews for my family. They loved it. It was so easy to cook and the clean up was fast. I am so Happy with my new purchase. Can't wait to see what product you will make next. Thank You So Much. You Make My Wok Cooking a Joy.

Okay so I was trying to replace my old farberware that I got rid of after a move. This is is it... I love this product and it's big and easy to clean (REALLY) I mean I made cabbage which I like to burn don't ask and it was easy to clean all I had to do was wipe it off with soap and water no food stuck to it... I would recommend this to anyone. It is on the larger side which is good for families.

THIS IS GREAT. I HAVE BEEN USING THIS EVERY DAY SINCE IT ARRIVED. I MAKE POPCORN EVERY NIGHT FOR MY HUSBAND. I WILL PAY FOR THIS IN THE SAVINGFS FROM BUYING MICROWAVE POPCORN AND EVERY KERNAL POPS AND HE SAID IT TASTES BETTER TOO. I HAVE COOKED A VARIETY OF THINGS AND THEYH HAVE ALL TURNED OUT WELL. MY MACARONI AND CHEESE FOR A CHURCH FUNCTION WAS PERFECT WITH NO MUSHED UP MACARONI. IT CLEANS UP SO EASY, ALWAYS WANTED A WOK AND I COULDN'T HAVE PICKED A BETTER ONE.

Received this electric wok the other day and have been cooking in it ever since. Awesome! Cooks quickly and evenly.I think if people used peanut oil instead of the canola oil called for in many recipes in the cookbook the food would have better flavor. Cooked a whole bunk of rice in my Wolfgang Puck rice cooker and am keeping it handy to cook in my wok along with a wide variety of stir fry foods and deep friend foods. Clean up is a breeze, too. I would highly recommend this product.

I was hesitant at first to buy this product, as I have had a few other woks previously and wasn't really thrilled with them. From the time that I opened up this package and began using the wok, I was amazed. It cooks so evenly and cleans up so well. I will definately recommend this to others. This wok is truly amazing.

I was so anxious to get this book, it is a beautiful book, lovely pictures and a nice read. However the first 2 recipe's that I used, I had to throw out. I am a longtime cook, never have thrown out anything before...so something is very wrong with these recipe's, something is missing. its too late to return the book so I maybe I will try another...do love the wok however. but cant depend on good recipe's in this book.

The recipes are easy to follow, but the Asian food is not tasty, which is the main reason I bought it. Everyone in my house complained and we followed the directions exactly. I found an authentic Asian cookbook, and recipes are much better tasting, closer to the real thing. Also, it has a lot of frying recipes, and we've cut back on frying, so we will use other cookbooks to get the taste we like. I returned it.

Food stuck on 3rd use.Followed all instructions & everything stuck! No metal utensils & hand-washed. Spent hours soaking & cleaning.Called WP customer service & after a long wait, was told that I was doing everything correctly, but wok was not defective.She said that STICKING IS NORMAL after several uses! She did not offer any help or solution & made me feel like I had unrealistic expectations about NONSTICK.As a loyal WP customer, it has crushed my confidence in WP products.Huge disappointment!

I received this back in April, and as usual with everything of Wolfgang, it is simply wonderful!!! I use it almost every week!!! It is great for Stir-Fry. I add a little olive oil, sear my pork, chicken, or beef, and add a little soy sauce and sweet & sour sauce, lots of veggies, and it's ready in a jiffy!! We like to add baby corns and water chestnuts!! It cooks well weither I use fresh or frozen veggies. It's great also for just cooking a couple of steaks nice and tender!!

I got this product in Feb. 2008 and I have used it about 6-7 times. After the fourth time it started peeling on the bottom and sides, putting black specs in my food. Never used metal cooking tools ever and was cleaned as directed. Heating is also inconsistant and can not really hold a high temp. for a long time.
I really admire Mr. Puck, but this was a pricey flop for me.

This is the best!
I just received this today, and could not wait to get this out of the box and use it.
I just have to tell you as a mother of 3, time is of the essence to get a good dinner to the table fast.
This cut my time in half and the food was fantastic!
