I dont know what the others where doing but we cleaned 5 rooms with it and it did the job great. Just do what it said. I did my sons front room and worked great therre to not bad for the price.

Well, I thought maybe, just maybe, I might be the exception. However, I should have listened to those that went before me. I bought it do my area rugs in living room and den and you cannot tell one bit that it has cleaned ANYTHING... I am sending this one back, perhaps Dirt Devil needs to adjust their slogan from Dirt Devil to Dirtless Devil....

And I me literaly. The person who ever made this machine has no scews and well as the machine. The person was not thinking clearly b/c it does not come with screws to attach the item together. You will have to go and size them yourself and buy them at a hardware store. What type of crap is that!!

I thought this would be nice to have as it said it was lightweight but worked like a heavy weight with deep down cleaning. IT was VERY disappointing. I have carpeting with no pile. I used the whole bottle trying to clean an area less than 10x10 and it still looks the same. I sent it back.

This steam vac is very poor quality. Poorly constructed and very messy to use. The dirty tank holds very little water before needing to be emptied. Cleaned ok, but the dripping from the machine leaves as much water on the rug as the cleaner itself!
