Playing guitar many years, it would have been great for someone as a gift just starting. Opened box, noticed the Glue joints were bad,can see the glue, many flaws on the body.Pick guard actually lifting away from the body. Neat idea, quality poor. Inside case also in bad shape. I love Esteban but he does need someone knowlegeable to check them out before they leave the warehouse. I'm returning it quick. I didn't even try playing , I could not get past the poor quality of this guitar, case, and all

I have 14 esteban guitars and this is the worst one, so far I have returned it 4 times, 2 of them had bad quality control flaws nicks on the fretboard and pealing of the inlay, wires hanging loose on the inside etc. had to re-order and wait for refund, first 2 guitars, guitar 3+4 buzzed very bad on the low E string/dead frets.I have had this problem with all the GM guitars. The edition is to large, they are making 3-4 models at the same time,to put out 50,000guitars in one month!

This is my 6th Esteban guitar. Each one is unique. This one Esteban seemed to put a little more detail relating to the GM agreement. Even on the case, there is more detail. The sound is very nice. No scratches or rub marks. Very nice! Highly recommended! Love the car decal on back with Impala trademark and how it projects out! Good job!

A few tiny imperfections, not unusual especially at this $; polishing could be better to make finish near perfect.
A bit hard to tune at first & strings went 1/2 note flat overnight, maybe because strings are new? Good tone,12th fret harmonics very sweet. Good EQ but no on/off switch to save battery?, maybe it's off if no cord connected.
Good setup, no buzz on any string/any fret.
A good deal for the aspiring guitarist. A $200 guitar? Hard to say, maybe. A package worth $200?, every penny!

This is my second Esteban guitar. The overall craftmanship is good just a little stain on the lettering but that's the only thing. I was a little concerned about the quaility, after reading the reveiws, but looks like quality control has improved. The DVDs are thorough and easy to follow. What a great value. I will probably buy another Esteban guitar.

Overall this guitar and the accessories is a good deal for the price. The only improvement I would recommend is lowering the height of the strings in relation to the fret board. They are presently a little to high off the fret board which decreases the ease of playing the instrument.
