I recently got into quilting and bought this machine and absolutely loved it when i first got it home. Made about 10 fairly complicated blocks before the timing went. Then I noticed the feed dogs also were stuck in the down position. I figured I would bite the bullet and just bring it down to a well known repair shop in the area and they did repair those items at a cost to me of $100.00 but now I have no electronics to change the stitch length. So I have to send it off to Singer repair in another state anyway. Very disappointed.

I bought this machine a few months ago and love it. My 10 year old daughter can use this machine and sew projects. She pulls out the card that show the stitches and punches in what she wants and away she goes. I have so much fun using the different stitches, I love this machine!

I recently took delivery of this machine & wanted to state that the machine does not vibrate while sewing. I was sewing upholstery fabric using the extension table (the main reason for my purchase) on a 36" glass top table and loved how smoothly and precisely it sewed. I over rode the stitch length per the directions on the training disc which is easy to follow. The new bobbin thread path is a time saver as now one does not need to pull up the bobbin thread before sewing. Overall the value of all the accessories received, possible stitch patterns and features for the price makes this machine is great value (I have been sewing for over 30 yrs. Also bought my Singer serger from HSN & am well satisfied)

I've been using this machine for a few weeks even though I bought it a few months ago.
I'm a craft person, I'm very happy with machine
so far, only problem is lower bobbin sometimes gets out of sink.
For the price its really great.....I've been a quilter for over 15 years this machine much easier for quilters....the extra's you receive
makes this machine truly a bargain

I've only sewn on Singers so as a recently begun quilter I just knew this machine would be perfect. It isn't. The feeds go down but not back up (they are currently stuck in the down position and I can't sew at all! Even the center seam of a simple 4-patch gets hung under the foot. The multitude of built-in decorative stitches is great but I can't get the length/width to adjust as instructed. First time I've ever been disappointed with a Singer!

After reading the last 2 reviews I kept putting off getting this machine. But I needed a quilting machine and I own other singer sewing machines so I purchased it. I have to say this is one smooth running machine I have been like a kid in a candy store trying on all the feet and stitches.I have had no shaking no matter what speed and everything works as it should.

Bought this machine based reviews so, when my 1st machine broke, I figured it must be a fluke. The timing mechanism on the 1st machine quit working after 4 seams. 2nd machine made it through @ 5 projects and the feed dogs quit working. I noticed that once lowered, they were hard to return to the appropriate position on the 1st machine,again, thought it was a fluke. Sending it 2nd back and getting a Brother. The the machine is loud and shakes TERRIBLY when at full speed. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

This machine shakes horribly at full speed (watch the video), the needle down feature is weird, it's loud, and the machine has no speed control lever. I own HSN's $219 Brother 100+ stitch sewing machine. It's a quieter machine that has all the same features, AND a hard carrying case! The only thing it doesn't have is auto tension or built in accessory storage. I would only recommend this machine to a beginner who's never operated a sewing machine before. I'm returning it asap.

I just got the machine today, 5 days earlier than expected, YAY! Had a little difficulty getting everything threaded correctly, but read the manual and got it straightened out. I Love it! Love the different stitches and no guessing on proper setting for stitch length and width. I'm a very novice sewer, I don't know how to sew from patterns or anything like that, I just quilt... give me my straight lines! I'm thrilled!

The Singer Confidence Quilter is wonderful. I just learned how to quilt 4 months ago and purchased this machine about a month ago. It is so much easier to quilt with this one, I wish I would have had it from the start. It is easy to use and produces quality stitches. I am so happy with this machine that one of my co-workers bought it to learn to quilt!

This sewing machine is just great, I started my fist quilt on this machine and it just makes the whole sewing process go so smoothly. That 1/4" foot is just great, you will be so happy with this sewing machine and the price and the added extras make it a great value.

I opened the box, set the machine on my table, threaded it and immediately began sewing beautiful seams. The "dog" embroidery line was the second line I used and I cannot believe how easy it was. Impressive; professional; stylish, Singer - as always, you make my sewing look great!
