I love my Singer Curvy. I bought it for its automatic tension and needle threader. This isn't a automatic threader that breaks after the first few times it's pulled down. This threader works! Easy as pie. You thread the machine, pull up the thread taut, let it go and it's done. I learned the threading techinique from the Singer Curvy Video online.. Once you see it, it's very easy to operate in person.
The stitches are fabulous. Professional looking cross-stich, feather stitch and quilt stitch, I wasn't crazy about the bobbin winder. I place a finger on the thread to make sure the thread doesn't run under the bobbin.
Highy recommend this machine. Worth it to pay a little more on the flex-pay. A sewer would enjoy a machine like the Curvy, its exact electronic functions and features. It also comes wih a built-in handle, lightweight, and has a great dust cover. It's a quiet smooth running machine. Really made for decorative and basic sewing. Not for speed stitching.
