Sew Easy Mini Portable Sewing Machine Features: Small and portable - runs on either AC power or 4 AA batteries (not included). Automatic bobbin winder - just put thread on the spool, drop in the bobbin, start the threading and the Sew E-Z machine takes care of the rest. SAVE - SAVE = SAVE - YOURSELF!! The quality of this piece is a disaster. With the prices of original shipping and handling, then RETURN postage, we should be able to trust HSN would choose quality products to begin with. This one takes the cake...no more for me. Granted, shopping on TV can be entertaining, fun, and convenient. However, when what you've purchased is such a dissapointment and hassle to return...is it really worth it???
If there were minus stars available I would have chosen that option.

My granddaughter loves this little machine. It is perfect for her to learn how to sew and is a great machine 'just her size'. This little portable is so easy to use, has all the mechanics of a bigger one without the weight and intimidation. It won't be long now that she will be able to use a larger sewing machine. She has made little doll purses, a baby blanket for her soon to be born neice, a bag for her brother's hotwheels, and other items. The accessories are just amazing, all colors of thread. I am so glad I just happened on to HSN and caught the last few minutes of the show, the little Sew Easy was the perfect birthday gift. Thank you so much.

I did not like this product at all. I am wet behind the ears when it comes to sewing so I thought this simple one would be a good starter. But I was wrong. Even after following the directions I stil could not get it to actually "stitch". So perhaps it was just me, but I I would not get this one unless you know how to thread a machine already. Although a "true seamtress" would probly not give this substandard model a second look anyway.
And sinse HSN doesn't have local sewing classes like JO Ann's I'm forced to return it. LIke I said I am a green horn so maybe it's me and not the machine.

I've had no problems using this. It's handy to leave out where I can use it whenever. I have limited space to keep a machine. It's so cute to just leave out where people see it!

I purchased this sewing machine for my daughter as she has never used one before. The mechanisms on this machine work awful. The needle hits the foot as it is going down and the bobbin will not thread right. It took me 10 tries before it threaded. Also the needle is off center with the opening in the foot. I really thought that she would be able to learn about a sewing machine with this one, but no way. It is terrible. I still love HSN and will continue to shop with you. Pam

I bought 2 of these, one for each of my granddaughters. I may not know how the magic of television works, but I do know how to work a quality sewing machine....This is not one. And magic of television is what the demo's are. I really wanted my granddaughters to appreciate sewing but all they got was frustrated with the thread snapping, and not strong enough to get thru the thin material they were using.

I gave it to her today and she was so happy to sew simple things for the first time in her life, like pillow cases and little bags. She is only eight years old but this was a wonderful introduction to simple sewing. We had a great time together, much better than watching TV.

I am an experienced sewer who was at least expecting a small machine that worked. This one didn't and I did read all of the instructions. The materials are cheap (should have realized this) and it was next to impossible to find the beginning for any of the small spools of thread or the bobbin. It's already packaged up and ready to go back. I spent so much time trying to find the beginning for even one spool of thread that I finally gave up used a spool from my home sewing basket and then the machine didn't work, This is not what I usually expect from HSN.

I just rec"d the machine I ordered for my granddaughter. It does a great job of sewing a basic straight stich. Maybe the one's it didn't work for didn't read the instructions.

I bought this for my daughter for her birthday. It was a total disaster and disappointment. I have been sewing for years so I know quality and this sewing machine is junk. I didn't even want to give it one star.

Purchased one for myself and for daughter-in-law, they were a totaldisappointment. Impossible to get to work even with great patience with tension...sending both back. Regret buying and pittiful to have to pay to ship them back! Never had a problem with other items from HSN...

I have to agree with the others. It's not even worth the postage to send it. The foot pedal barely stays in the hole, constantly falls out. Oh well, lesson learned.

I have to agree with the rest of the reviews. It is a terrible product. The quality is much cheaper than the price. I bought the machine for basic, easy, portable sewing and ended up with a machine with instructions more complicated than any big machine I have ever used. I never did get the tension right.

I bought this just to take in pants/hems & maybe make some very basic curtain panels. The instructions are contridictory on how to thread it & the tension was so difficult to alter that it broke the thread. All those accessories - junk! The machine is awful, don't buy!

HSN should be ashamed. I have been sewing for years and cannot figure out how to get the bobbin thread to pull through to lock the stitch. I don't think it is possible. There is no phone number to call for service or advice from White. Of course, I waited to long (my fault) and can't return it. I should have read the reviews first. I also think HSN must have very low quality control to sell this item. I have tried to get some satisfaction from them to no avail. Don't waste your money.

AI BOUGHT THIS SEWING MACHINE FOR MY MOTHER FOR XMAS.AND IT DID NOT WORK.I TRIED TO RETURN IT, BUT BECAUSE IT WAS 5 DAYS LATE THEY WOULD NOT TAKE IT BACK,SO I GUESS IT WILL GO IN THE TRASH.

A wonderful "WOW" gift (and those WOW's are very hard to come by) for my grandaughter went from Sew Easy to so difficult after 30 min. (could not keep bobbin from tangling). Took it to Joanne's where another grandma was there with same problem. For $60 more, we now have a Singer (with case, durable footpeddle, ability to make a variety of stitches) perfect for an enthusiastic 10 year. old.
Best thing about SEW EASY, the "WOW." Makes it worth the return cost.

I have a large sewing machine and have been sewing for years. I wanted something small for my RV. This machine doesn't work on any type of fabric. I adjusted the tension and it still didn't work. I hope people read the reviews before waisting their money. Unfortunately for me, I lost my receipt and can not return it.
