Not really what I expected. The quality is low and cheaply made. The locking system is a joke. Would I recommend this to a friend? NO!

Even my husband joined in a little bit when i was using the box-building templates. Can hardly wait to try the fancy techniques like the fold-out cards. The hinges are so sensibly engineered to help lay out the different sections you can use. Love it

This is my new favorite tool. Super easy to use and very accurate compared to many other card making tools I have in my craft room. When we received the tool, we immediately opened it up and popped in the DVD and really enjoyed seeing how simple it was to make so many more things than what we saw on the show when we ordered it. I can't imagine anyone without the ability to figure it out. The DVD is fantastic and the tool does more than what was represented in the short time on the show. We couldn't be happier and ordered them for all of our crafting relatives for Christmas this year. It's lots of fun too!

I am horrible at measuring, and it's always held me back with crafting, so this tool right away appealed to me. I feel unleashed! It really does make everything foolproof, and I don't need to waste money on all pre-cut pre-measured craft kits. All in all, I'm extremely happy with this product and think it's a must have for everyone who loves to craft but isn't great with a ruler. There are some ways this product could be better though. The numbers and letters could be a contrasting color so they could more easily be read. The paper cutter in the middle could be more secure (it tends to slide around). The woman on the DVDs is very nice but she needs to talk and move more slowly. Hopefully they come out with an upgraded version that fixes these things!

I bought this tool after much debate. I was a little worried after reading some of the negative reviews. I absolutely LOVE this item! It is well made and sturdy. The included DVD gives very detailed instructions and I found it very easy to use the first time out and have had nothing but success with it. I use it in conjunction with my Cricut expression and the creative possibilities are endless!!

I hesitated before buying this but am so happy I finally did. It has so many functions and all in one handy tool. Also the quality is nice and the directions and video do a great job explaining how to use it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!

This crafters companion scrap and craft tool is soooo useful . It helps you make your cards extrordinary yet in a simple way . This is well worth the price. It is one tool that goes with me when I travel. Box , envelope, card maker, plus embosser, and bow maker... What more do you need ! Also included CD has excellant projects.Only neg is the rubber feet need better adhesion. ..

I was not able to follow the DVD instructions for the tri-fold 3d part. I became frustrated and put this tool away. I haven't used it since. I used a lot of paper trying to figure this thing out.

This one takes a little time to learn but well worth the time and cost.This tool replaces several other tools I have and it's a great grab and go for you on the run scrappers. LOVE IT!

I have the original and it works great with a little practice. You can make so many things that would have taken a long time to do without the tool, however, when I made this purchase; I was extremely disappointed. There is a defect in this batch. In the middle of this one is a dent in the product that is just enough to knock you off the line to not make a straight line. I sent it back for a replacement and received another one with the same problem. Please look yours over very well and use it. Once those 30 days are over HSN is not very forgiving past that time frame and will not accept it back. I hope they listen and recall the bad batch. Happy Scrap'n'.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using my crafter's companion. It is all it was said to be and more. It has saved me time and stress when I have made a card and I can't find an envelope to fit it I just make one. If I need a gift box at the last minute I just make one. It has saved me several trips to the store recently. - designing diva

I ordered this item a while back and just today got a chance to play with it. I love it! If you watch the DVD that comes with it, it is very simple to follow the instructions for the different projects. I played around using inexpensive copier paper and made several of the projects. I would definitely encourage anyone to purchase it. It's not hard to use, and mine does not "fall apart" as some have implied.

I just received my crafter's ultimate craft kit today, I am totally blown away with all the things it can do for me.This is absolutely a must have tool for all the card makers/crafters.I did read some negative reviews and I don't understand why some people find it hard to use. I also have the original one but I like the idea of this being so compact and easy to carry. Get it all you people, you will love it.

I purchased this for my neice for helping me. She's 15 years old, but nothing holds her attention very long. I gave her this and she made items until 2 a.m.!!! She worked for 8 hours making boxes, bows and cards. It was well worth the $42.00. I also purchased the extra templates for the crafter's companion, but sent them back they were too hard to follow. But if you need an excellent babysitter, then this is the ultimate craft item.

I sew, I knit but I am no card maker. I was concerned about some of the comments but was relieved to find that it is not so bad.
Mine arrived in excellent condition within 5 days of ordering. I opened the Ultimate from the envelope maker side so that the tools stay in place. It is simple to use. I test made an envelope already with paper cut from grocery bag and it came out fine. For what I need, replacement envelopes and a few simple cards...etc this is the right product for me.

I just love this item. It makes it very simple to make cards, boxes, envelopes and embossing! I do think that the cutter in the middle is alittle flimsy though! And yes you do have to keep rewinding the DVD to keep up with the lady, but once you get the hang of it & alittle bit of patience (which you need as a crafter) everything is beautiful made!

I've used this about two weeks now and I really love it. I have had no problem making things with this tool. I need to practice the embossing. I called CS to inquire about the "Explosion Box". They got back to me right away. In fact they put the instuctions on their web site so I could print it out. I was really impressed with their service. I've made four cards and envelopes with this and they turned out beautifully.
