I wrote a rave review for the 13.18 ct Cushion Cut Citrine I ordered along with this lilac amethyst. This amethyst - at least the one I received today - is not a disappointment in any way just as is the case with the citrine. I love the unusual cut and pastel shade, and so does my jeweler who has it now to make a pendant out of. Both the citrine and the amethyst are clear and radiant. I have an oval deep purple 16 ct amethyst ring and realize the deeper the color the more valuable the stone. However, I've always wanted an amethyst in a more delicate lilac/lavender shade as well and have found it here. The size and beauty of this stone require nothing more than a simple setting with a few diamonds in it to showcase it. This one's a keeper.
