This set was a great surpise and even better than I imagined. Recommend it highly. Great value considering the cost for sewing supplies of this quality.

I ordered this gift boxed set for myself since I am a professional seamstress. Thinking that it was the answer to my prayers. But, when I received it, i was somewhat disappointed. I was hoping that the scissors would have much more of a curve or bend to then. It just wasn't what i was hoping for. I really was rather bummed. but rather that forcing my self to keep something and use it, I returned.
If you are sewing and embroidery for a hobby, these would be great. so my search is still on.......

I just received my shipment yesterday and was just thrilled with this wonderful little set of 'tools'. I do a lot of crafting and machine embroidery, and I have had some of the 'cheaper' bargains out there that were NOT such a bargain. These are very nicely made and do a wonderful job. I also bought the Top of the Line Singer Pro Sewing machine and put them both through their paces last night and today. I dont know what the problem was with a 'few' comments here but mine are great. Incidentally MOST surgical steel impliments come from Pakistan and have for sometime. Check out the ones in the HOSPITAL and docs offices, Yep that is where most of them are made too. Worked in that field a long time. Thank you for such a nice little set with a great little case to keep organized too. - Don't be afraid to get t his.

I do have these sewing accessaries separately, but having them all in one case is so much easier then hunting each one down when needed. I love just having one case right by my machine. The quality is exceptional.

I received The Melrose sissors set on the 9th of Sept. and did a new embroidery project for a friend of mine. Well, let me tell you, they are not just a pair of sissors, but a work of art, conforming to the job they wre made for. I love them, along with the other items included will not have to replace anything soon.. Also, used the Melrose threads, again, they produced a beautiful piece of work. Thanks Darlene, for designing the sissors set, along with the Melrose threads, the colors are vibriant, the spool design keeps everything neat and tidy. It makes things "sew" much easier for sewing and storage.

I was excited about these scissors when Darlene pitched them...unfortunatley they were a great big dissapointment. They're "Cheap" and unworthy of placing the Melrose name on them. @ about $6.30 a piece, after s/h+tax... I guess you get what you pay for.

I received my set and like it very much. It may not be top of the line, but these are nice and cut well. This is a great set for those who cannot or don't want to spend what it costs to buy top of the line scissors. Thanks Darlene. Great product!

I just received this set yesterday. I like the curved scissors for the embroidery machine. they work great while it is in motion. I have several pair of expensive straight scissors, but was really attracted to the curved pair. while they are not the best you can buy, you are also not paying that real expensive price for them either. I found the other tools to be useful also

These may not be "Top of the line" so to speak,but mine came delivered in excellent condition and ready to "cut" They are great for the price,especially at discounted price.And work etremly well. And boxed beatifully. Some people are just harder to please than others and perhaps have not had opportunity to "try" them out. I hope you continue to carry them for the future. Nice gift at Christmas for young and old that like to sew.

These are small and there are small scratches on the implements. The implements look rather cheap and not professional. They don’t operate smoothly and the finger openings aren’t designed for larger fingers. The seam ripper is dull. I was expecting something professional. I feel that these would be great for beginner and student sewers. If you are expecting professional quality keep looking because these are cheap. P.S these are made in Pakistan.
