This bag is beautiful in every way. I got the camel and fell in love with it. The leather is shiny and supple. The interior is just perfect. The fit (under the arm) is great, particularly because my arms are on the chunky side :-)
Loved it so much, I went back for the rose. Totally, absolutely, definitely recommend!!!

Helen does it again! This bag looks like it cost several thousand dollars. The quality and design of the leather blows the others (B. Makowsky, coach, D&B, etc.) away! For $150 bucks, it's a steal! Thank you, Helen!!!! When I buy your bags, you always exceed my expectations. Hoping wallets are coming soon! :)

This handbag is a beauty! It's a perfect color for spring. It's not a bubble gum pink but a pretty rose that is more pink than mauve. The "Scuff Marks and Wrinkles" that some mention are characteristic of the leather, which is a good thing because you won't have to be gentle with it. This bag glows! With the clearance price you can't go wrong. I received many stares today when I was out with this handbag and I felt so classy and feminine.

I fully expected to not like the Barr + Barr handbag based on all the negative remarks! The handbag is very well-constructed with attention to detail from the whipstitching of the leather seams, to the beautiful gold hardware...I have a closet full of Sharif, Carlos Falchi, Clever Carriage, and Beverly Feldman and this is crafted better in my opinion...And yes, although Barr + Barr tends to be large ~ this bag is not oversized...It's perfect!

I don't know what's wrong with these other reviewers?! I have between 200-300 bags (many costing $1000+) and another one by Barr Bella (the older name of the line)and I think this is a FABULOUS bag - just the right size, fits perfectly over the shoulder, BEAUTIFUL glazed mauve leather(love the whipstitching detail), lovely love letter lining, easy to get into, LOTS of pockets - true quality through and through. I truly am shocked by the negative comments. Helen Barr makes truly quality bags!

I really liked the color of the bag and I had no problems with the size. The only problem I do have is about the leather...I had ordered another Barr + Barr bag but I returned it due to the weight. There is not that problem with this one because the leather is very thin. I am still not sure whether I am keeping it since I do love the style and color of the bag.

I have to agree the leather quality is lacking. Unlike the 1st B+B satchel (350-776... GORGEOUS!) i purchased, which was of superior leather hence the little bit of weight to it, this one looked worned out in some parts especially the edges. The size and style was perfect though and i love the Rose color, and i've gotten a few compliments with it and lots of stares. ~MJ88

I received my bag right on time package well, unlike the other comments. But the wear of the bag is not good I agree that the leather quality is not good, no bag should have worn as quick as this bag has, I have several expensive bags carry them daily and the leather has not worn like this one. One this one, I will keep the bag I think because I like the material inside. The Bar+Bar people need to evaluate their leather process, Shine does not help,itcauses the bag to not be evaluate properly.

The bag was very pretty and the leather smelled great - I got the rose which I agree with the other reviewer, was definately a dusty mauve but very springy - the bag was just too wide for my frame though - although I know they give measurements on HSN while showing the product, I didn't pick up on it. Nice bag but unfortunately on its way back.

I HAVE SEVERAL BARR BARR BAGS. I PURCHASED THE ROSE & ITS A LOVELY COLOR, FEELS GOOD & LOOKS LIKE A QUALITY BAG JUST LIKE MY OTHER BARR BARR BAGS. FOR ANYONE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SIZE, PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN YOU SEE THE BAG ON THE AIR OR IF YOU ORDER OVER THE INTEREST, THE DIMENSIONS ARE ALWAYS GIVEN. BREAK OUT A RULER IF YOU NEED TO SO THAT YOU CAN SEE EXACTLY WHAT THE SIZE WILL BE BEFORE YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT IT BEING TOO BIG.

Packaged and shipped very poorly, leather very distressed and wrinkled, not soft and arrived with major scuff marks on it.
Lot bigger than appears in demo, just OK. Nothing overly spectacular.

All the reviews are complaining,but I love my Barr and Barr bag. I bought the luggage color and I'm a handbag snob,but it's beautiful. I have a few of her bags and have loved this one the best. I have the briefcase type too for my laptop and it works well too.

My bag arrived in a box plopped on top of another Barr + Barr bag. Both had places that looked "crushed," leaving patches of wrinkles that didn't match the rest of the bag. Although it's a longer bag than I like (wish B+B would make more 14-15" bags), I loved the rose color and so am returning this bag for an
exchange of the same bag. This is the 3rd B+B bag I'm returning for this same "crushing" problem. Maybe the leather isn't good enough quality that it wrinkles so easily???

I love the quality of Barr and Barr, and the detail on this bag is beautiful. Helen Barr said it wasn't as big as some of her other bag's, and I would have to disagree, it is just as big as her other bags, and although the leather is nice, it doesn't seem like the same quality as her other bags. I wish she would scale her bag's down a little more. Sorry to say it is going back.

Bag was returned-straight out of the box,at base of handle the leather was worn (rose was worn off at hard-leather part in shipping)showing white leather - for a 290.00+ bag.NO GO! Also FYI: "Rose" is a dusty mauve (darker).Too bad...liked the style!
