Did not get the whole summer out of these shoes. The fit was very tight. the bottom sole came away from the shoe. very poor quality. Usually like the ajv line. This was poor.

I love the look of these shoes and got them at a fantastic price. Unfortunately the shoes that arrived are marked with the wrong size. I ordered a 7.5 and that is what arrived. When I tried them on I found them to be a size 7 at the most. I have purchased AJ. before and had no problem so I know that it wasn't just a case of adapting to a new brand. Where is quality control with the AJ products? These will have to go back.

I purchase these shoes for my mom then decided on a pair for myself. First of all, a completely wrong shoe arrived! A white big buckled pilgram looking shoe! However, The 7.5 W were to small for her but when the 8M for me showed up they worked for her but 1 was tight at the front top so I sqeezed a racketball and another spongy kind of ball in the front and it worked great by morning but she says the other one feels as if it is almost a half size bigger but she will use a shoe pad at the heel. They look adorable on her cute little 67 year old legs. She said if she had bought the pad for the one and her foot wasnt slipping out (before her luncheon that day)she knows they would and will be comfy

Actually, blistered again. I bit on these adorable chrochet espadrilles from AJj Valenci two years running, and both times found the backs were too high and the inside back shoe too scratchy. i just love the romantic style and overall look, and would pay MUCH more if only they would fit right... ie, not cause blisters on contact. I hope AJ comes back with an improved product next spring as they are so so 'me', I would be willing to risk striking out thrice if ONLY the quality would improve. SOOO disappointing - the style is absolutely sweet, but if you can't wear them w/o being cut, what's the use? Just cut the backs a tad lower!

After reading several so-so reviews on these shoes, I "had" to write a positve review, as I was so pleased with my purchase. I bought these several months ago, when they were first showcased. I got them in yellow and whenever I wear them I always get compliments. They fit (and I ordered them in the size I normally wear), are comfortable, and the bottoms have NOT frayed. I've ordered AJ Valenci shoes before and have been satisfied. Being happy with this purchase, I will definitely be buying from AJ Valenci again. Maybe I was lucky... but no matter what, I will still try again.

I love A J Velinci shoes but this is a poor quality shoe. It's tight across the top. Size is not correct. Just not worth the money at all. Please do not even attempt to try this one.

I bought black and yellow in my normal 7.5, 1 medium and 1 wide. The wide was smaller that the medium! Why can't these shoes be sized correctly? They are so cute but I just can't wear either of these pairs and don't want to spend more than they are worth on S&H. Back they go.

Love the style & colors and also the feel (got alot of compliments at work). Agree that the cording does fray easily, especially if wet; and back heel DOES give me blisters every time I wear them. They are versatile and go with just about everything. Please make with a cushion on heel and I would buy more colors.

I read reviews and went ahead and bought an 8 instead of my usual 7 1/2 and they are huge. I put one of my full foot pads inside but even with that they slipped off of my heel. It's too late to send them back so I'll have to double up on the padded inserts and hope that works.

the style is great - these shoes do not have the same cushioning as the other AJ Valenci shoes/sandals that I have purchased. The
innersole is stiff and the outside tan cording looks like it will fray in weeks. Love the true navy color, wish to see more styles in navy, brown and gray(both light and dark).

Bought my reg. size 8, fit like a 7 1/2. Returned for an 8 1/2, fit like a 7 1/2! Sent back again. Did not reorder as I spent 2/3 or more on the cost of the shoe on postage! These are a hit or miss on sizing. One star because they are cute.

These are really cute shoes. I ordered both wide and med width to see which fit me better. As it turned out, the med width fit the best, but kept slipping off the heel of my foot yet it fit tight enough that the rim around the back hurt my skin. Sent them back. 2 stars for the look and colors.

These are close to the espadrilles I used to love from Lord & Taylor. They weigh almost nothing. At first in a 7 wide, they were a bit tight and stiff; I got a blister quickly on the inside of the heel where there's a seam. I wore them with a band-aid and soon they were comfortable. The heel gave me (5'2") a nice lift. The toe part has room for high insteps and thicker toes. A month later, however, they stretched out and are uncomfortably floppy in the heel! Still, I'd buy another pair.

I was so looking forward to wearing these. They are so adorable, but when they arrived, they were way too small. I should have paid attention to some other reviews and ordered up a size. Now, they don't have any colors I want. So sad. It makes me wonder if all of their shoes run that small.

After i purchased these, i was worried about the size, because everybody seems to state they run 1/2 size small, actually, they fit perfect, true to size on my feet and i am 100% pleased with all 3 pair. Also what i loved about them is the height of the wedge, not to high, perfect for wearing to work. Love them

I have 3 pairs of these - fuschia, tan and yellow - and love all of them. Very comfortable. I normally don't wear heels of any type but find these to be just right. I ordered my regular size and they fit fine.
