my son has asthma and we all suffer from allergies. these filters help him breath all night without coughing. hard to find filters sometimes but worth it for health.

I hate to admit how effective these are. I have birds and it scared the living bird dust outta me when I changed the filters. Good grief. How did I live without these before? Yes, the filters are pricey , for me, because I have to replace them but its because they are working!
I am ordering more. These are fabulous. Taking one over to my moms house right now for her to have.
If you think its clean, its not, unless you have one of these. Try it, you ttoo might be scarily surprised at how much gunk that these babies pick up that you arent aware of.
ps they are a bit noisy, but to us that white noise is very calming

After only 1 week the prefilter had visible dust/crud. I'm very surprised with the effectiveness of these machines. I can't wait to buy more for rest of the house. Air feels lighter and easier to breathe. Makes air a bit cooler, which I like, not on the level of an AC though. Not sure how the noise compares to others, LO is quiet, can still hear but it's non obtrusive. I turn to MED/HIGH when we're not using the rooms, they're a little distracting. Not something that would deter me from buying!

Had these for some months now and I loved them until time for new filters and the price for new ones blew me away!!!! At the rate I need to change them I could put a whole House Unit in my home. This is ridiculous for paper products!!! People Beware

Yes filter may be costly, but you are replacing 3 of them. Also pre-filter traps the dust and odors...just vacuum them till you get the replacement. Nothing is better than to have clean air when sleeping and not waking up sneezing and coughing.
Gave a set as a gift at baby shower and the new parents just love them. They were amazed at what these can capture. Knowing they are not breathing this stuff in gave them alot of relief. Love the small one for baby's room

My 4th payment hadn't been made and I already needed to buy new filters! The pre filters were completely clogged in just over two months. Although it proves that they are working, it's still too expensive to buy the filter set every 4 months!

They seemed to help some, but I need newfilters and cannot afford to buy them, so I threw my money away buying the air purifiers. Get filters that can be cleaned by just washing them and drying. Thank you!

I'm experiencing the same as both sides of the other viewers...they work fine with new filters although I agree they don't last 6 mths and are very costly (I wished I would have checked into the cost of the filters beforehand). The dust varies

we have these purifiers. This was the first time buying these, but i thought i would give it a try. A few of our friends came over and came in the house and thought my husband quit smoking because she couldnt smell the smoke. when she said that i knew they worked great. I wouldnt trade them for anything. i even bought one for my son who has allergies pretty bad. we are giving it to him as a christmas present.

I bought this system to help clean the air, but dust is still everywhere in my house and I use all 3 purifiers all day and night long on the highest setting. So why do I still have all these particles and dust all over my house. I would not reccommend these to anyone. The filters will cost you an arm and a leg and no, they do not last like they say they do. I needed to buy just one filter replacement for the big one, but conviently you can only get it if you purchase all three filters for way too much money to be putting out every 2 months on cardboard filters. HUNTER! Make some filters that can be cleaned instead of replaced every 2 months.

I love the Hunter Air Purifiers. I suffer from indoor allergies and since I've been using the purifiers for the last 5 months, I haven't had any problems. I don't need to dust around the house as often as I used to, the air quality is better, and I can sleep at night! To the previous review, your units have dust on them because it's time to change your filters. I just received my replacement filters. They are alittle costly, but it's worth the money knowing that my kids and I are breathing better air.

They said that the filters would last 6 months and they only lasted about 2 months and then when you go to get the filters at Lowe's Home Improvement they don't carry them. So I have been with out them and can't use the air purifiers. Call Hunter and they are so expensive that you can't afford them, you think you get a good deal when you get 3 of them.(WRONG) They ares 96.00 for one & 40.00 for one,56.00 for one. In these days andtimes a person can't afford them. So now stuck with them and its past my 30 days. But you don't find this out till you need a new filter. Do not suggest buying them.They work good when you have clean filters .They don't tell you this when you buy them.

Can anyone tell me why you would have to dust on an air purifier? I keep mine running on med constantly and still there is dust. I have to wipe down the machine everyday. I thought if it cleaned the air, there would be no dust??????? How do you know if it is working? I also noticed that they are powered by a small locomotive engine. That is what it sounds like and it dosen't even have a whistle. My guidence think twice the replacement filters will cost you big time. You can do better!!!!!

The units that work are great. However, I report the 3rd unit to customer service at HSN and they promised to ship me out a new one. I never received it. I called back after 6 weeks and they had no record of my complaint. They told me they would reship. I called back 3 weeks later, no record of my complaint. I was told that I now have to deal with Hunter directly and that they are sorry for the inconvience. Unbelievable! I still don't have a working large unit.

I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT BUY...I GAVE ONE TO MY MOM WHO IS ASTHMATIC, ONE TO MY DAUGHTER WHO HAS ALLERGIES, AND ONE FOR MYSELF. EVERYBODY IS HAPPY. AT FIRST IT WAS RECEIVED WITH SKEPTISM, BUT VERY QUICKLY CONVINCED US ALL OF A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP...THANKS.

These filters made a huge improvement in the air in my apartment. I live on the first floor and due to alot of foot traffic outside I never open my windows. The air is much better since I got these. No longer stuffy
