The bag's leather is flimsy compared to all of my designer bag collection, I'm a bag addict but I explore all designers' bag comodity. The style and make was nice and functional but I was disappointed to find the leather to be thin and flimsy. I compared it to my other bags with rich and luscious leather and this almost felt synthetic. I needed a large, roomy and light bag since I drag half my wardrobe, a pair of slippers and a full bottle of water, lotions and potions when I walk out of my apartment. It's functional enough for that purpose but I'm worried that it may not be able to accomodate the weight of my stuff. I also purchased the oiled leather from Barr and Barr and patent leather from Kooba which have better leather girth and body. The only thing is, they're both too small. Although very disappointed to make the return, I have to keep adding to my collection.

i wore this bag to a doctor appointment ,a woman came over to ask the name and where i purchased it. it is so easy to use. the lining is light so everthing is easily seen . i love the pockets outside and in. the leather is so soft and buttery. i purchased pumkin the color is beautiful.

Big, comfy handbag lovers, do yourselves a favor and buy this bag! It's so luscious and comfy to wear, it becomes like a part of your body. I've found it to be extremely durable, too, I love a bag I don't have to baby and can use every day. I DO agree, however, that the shoulder strap should be made adjustable, but I kind of like the look of the long, lean look when worn cross-body. Any shoe repair shop can cut the strap, sew on a buckle, and punch the proper holes in it for you for about $15. Also, any "frizz" on the edges of the handles can be tamed right down by putting "sno-shield" or some other waterproofing wax made for leather goods along the edge, then wipe off excess and let dry. It's well worth the effort for this beautiful quality, gorgeous bag, that's CLEARLY worth at least twice the price. Thank you B&B - I'll be buying more of your wonderful bags.

Love this purse. It is large, but I'm a big purse girl. It is made well and I have plenty room for all that I carry. Have carried mine and have not had any problems. Like that it has the shoulder strap or you can carry it by the handles. Always receive compliments when I carry this bag.

Gorgeous color (olive), butter soft leather, and yes the edges are raw and I believe I know why. This bag is a wonder because it goes from a straight tote to a chic, pyramid bag and a couple in between. This depends on the bags handles to slip through the hardware and conform to whatever shape you want. You can't have that suppleness with a painted edged bag. I love all your bags, Helen! This was number 9! Keep them coming, and I will keep buying! Also, perfect winter/fall color.

I am very satisfied with this bag. I have not had any of the fraying troubles mentioned by other customers. The leather is superb, I got the brown. Rich, even color throughout the bag. Only downfall is that the shoulder strap should be adjustable. Also, we would appreciate more inside pockets. After all, it is not an inexpensive bag.
Other than that, thumbs up.

My only complaint is that the edges are not finished. The leather of the bag is wonderful! The color (China Blue) is fab! I really love the color. It is a big bag! If you don't like big bags, this is not for you. I really love that I can wear it cross body when ever i want. The strap is long enough and it is comfortable. But then I can carry it by the handles and it looks very sophisticated and elegant. I have to say I was looking for a bag like this and found it and very happy with it.

I got the Chocolate & Black. I just love these bags. The quality, softness and style are FAB! Wasn't sure at first if I wanted to order these because of some negative reviews but sometimes you just have to try it for yourself. I sure am GLAD I did. I will definetly be back for some of the other colors. I also went ahead and purchased the black and coffee color wallet. PLEASE PLEASE bring this bag in "Coffee" so my wallet can match the bag.

The first set of these bags that came out were okay. These recent ones are terrible. The colors are not as depicted and the edges of the bags are fraying. All three (chocolate, china blue and purple) are going back. Nice try, but not good enough, especially for the price point.

I received mine today which is mocha and I'm very disappointed. I expected a quality bag which looks like its price.
This bag looks so cheap and the leather is just like the one you'd pay $50 for. I have a lot of pricey purses and this didn't even come anywhere near the appearance and quality of my purses.
I opened the box when I got home and packed it right back. It's heading to UPS tomorrow, bye bye....

I received the blue and happy with this bag. I get compliments everyday. I agree the raw edges do shed and that the over the shoulder strap is quite long and I am tall. An adjustable shoulder strap would be expected for the price of this bag. I would buy another Barr and Barr bag!
