When I got the set the glaze did not seem right. On the bottom it says Made in China when I know it comes from England, at least the quality items. The old country rose also was a decal that could be felt when running your finger overthe items. The rose picture is smaller than the "real thing" where the Royal Albert original china is smooth and beautiful to touch. There was a chip behind the lip of the creamer so back it goes. I am so disappointed!

I should preface my review by saying that I am a novice as it pertains to Royal Albert porcelain pieces. I ordered two sets as I enjoyed the presentation and the price is good for this brand (I have checked online and indeed this brand is pricey.) Therefore, it's a good value on HSN. However, upon receipt and review of the actual product, I didn't fall in love with it as I thought I would. I was expecting a shine/sheen on the product, I didn't really see it. I was expecting a solid gold edging around the pouring spout, instead it was "brushed" gold (perhaps, this is how it's supposed to be). I am returning both sets because it is different than I imagined it would be. To be fair to Royal Albert brand, I'm giving it four stars because it is "good", and perhaps to other people, it's "great". It just wasn't my particular "cup of tea."

As others, I miss the "England" stamp on the bottom, but this set is a nice addition to my many other pieces ~ less delicate than the original OCR tea set, but easy to use, attractive, and my husband definitely likes it when he's having tea! A good price as well.

This set isn't quite as ornate as the Royal Albert set, but for the price -- it's not a bad deal, and not a bad looking set. In fact, because of the low price, I returned for a second set to save for a gift to a collector friend for Christmas 2009! Fine workmanship, though I do miss that the pieces are no longer made in England, and instead are now made in Indonesia or China. While the quality appears good, it's somehow missing something without that "England" stamp on the bottom.

This is such a pretty tea set. If you love everything Royal Doulton and Royal Albert you will want to get this one. Has delicate roses around the teapot, sugar and creamer. Love the little hobnail type trim just above the rose border. Its a definite winner.
