I got this product as a Christmas gift and after four months of limited use it went dead! Who makes a product that lasts for only months? Even more concerning, who would keep selling this product after a string of such poor reviews? After this fiasco, I will never by another Homedic product again and probably will think twice before ordering from HSN.

This product is painful. After using it as suggested, I was in pain for days. The mechanism that massages your back leaves you bruised. I could not find the reciept to return it in 30 days so I will be getting rid of it in a garage sale. It does not massage away pain,but you will foget about the current pain you have because you will have new pain.

I bought two of these massagers for Christmas gifts. Both people loved them but... you must be careful because it can be painful. Use it the way it tells you to and should be fine. So be warned you will be swore after using it.

Love this massage cushion, very relaxing after a day at work. sorry I had to send it back it locked on me for some reason, I throught I was getting a replacement after checking my account I didn't check the box for it, I will order again.

This sounded like a great relaxing idea. BUT----
Both my husband and I found it to be too hard to ever be comfortable to sit or lean on, and the massage is 100xs harder than needed. We were both actually in pain FOR DAYS.
Return postage is too much to send back.
Donated to charity after first use.
Too bad too, I really needed something like this, but
dont need anymore pain.

This massager has become the best friend for my upper back. I use it 10 times a day for 10-15 minutes each interval. A massage like this would run over $50. The control buttons are easy to use and the machine responds very quickly. I especially like the "spot" massage which can be sustained for up to 3 minutes each 15 minute massage session. Great for getting your circulation going in the morning and unwinding in the evening. Really feels like strong hands and elbows working on the back.

Shiatsu relaxes *just above* very sore, tight muscles in lower back, and with mid back; works very well on "spot" button. The HEAT function is SO good with Shiatsu on specific body parts. The rolling massage works well to relax you. I cannot use this Cushion on my neck as it's too short for me,unfortunately. Having chronic lower back pain, scoliosis, and fibromyalgia - sensitive to pain, this works well in *specific areas* of my back, and that's enough help to make it worth the money.

My wife & I go to two different masseuses, as my wife needs a lighter touch than I do. She'll likely prefer the rolling-massage method of this pad, whereas I like Shiatsu mode. It's powerful, lifts me off the cushion. Cracks those tense muscles. Feels great to me.
I got a wonderful price through hsn.com, much lower than the competition. Product arrived fine, but had obviously been opened once. But it works fine and I have no gripes.

I would send this back if I did not already throw away the box and if the return postage wasn't so much. It will no doubt end up at Goodwill.

it does not curve with your back so you get a hard massage in the middle of the back and nothing on lower back or neck. I sit mine on the floor up against a firm surface. If I lift it up I can get my neck. If you have a long torso no way will you get your neck. With a little bit of scootching around you can get a decent massage. If I had it to do all over again I would not buy it though since I really wanted it for neck and upper back.

I bought this for Christmas. I'll never have to get a massage again! Very strong and feels so good, especially between the shoulder blades. I like that I can stop it and concentrate in areas I need it most. I was quite surprised!!!!!

I gave this to my wife for Christmas. And it worked for only 10 minutes. I have read all the instructions to see why it stopped working but it is officially "Out of Service". The massage we got was at a rate of $10 per minute. At this rate, this is a very expensive product!
If you must buy this item... Buy it from a store, so you can return it and get your money back the same day!

guess it would be ok if you like real deep tissue massage. even tried putting a quilt over it, but hurts. and there is no way you can move to get it to massage your neck. my son has shoulder problems and likes hard massage, so i will give it to him. if he doesnt like it, goes back. a pun, i mean i will return it.

A few problems - 1) not curved properly to reach your neck; 2) Too much pressure laying back, not enough sitting up. 3) seat is too short, uncomfortable 4) bulky, clumsy. Will return.

I find using the upper/low back features separately to be much more comfortable than trying to do the full back at once. The stop feature is also great. As mentioned by others, it does not do the neck area well. When using it before bed, I'm much more relaxed and have a great sleep. Hey, if you want a massage longer than 15 minutes, just push the power button on the remote again, it's a simple process. Overall, I'm happy with it.

I am an RN and ALWAYS have shoulder or back pain.I use this SEVERAL times a day and will not pay to get a massage again. I do move up to get the lower back, & down to get the neck area, but that is OK. LOVE LOVE IT.

Works perfect! However the one size fits all is a problem,
The back of this Cushion is HARD as a rock. If your neck hits it, it is very uncomfortable. Massage is good. I could only use it on lower back in the same area...good feature. My hubby strong man...hurt his back with Shiatsu..way too hard. sorry.

This item can only work straight 15 mins which was never mentioned by Mr Little and the price? its way way cheaper on local drugstores....a real dissapointment, it was always mentioned that its the cheapest price in the market ( well its not true)
