The butterfly is about 5-6 inches huge. It will not stay closed. The little hook just barely hooks inside the ring. When you sit or bend....fling goes the belt. I wear a small and have no stomach. This belt still would not stay fastened. I would stay away from this. Waste of money. Now I have to pay to return a defective belt.

i wear a size 6, they sold out in small. still got medium and of course it is too big. doctored up the belt by just tying a knot in they back to make it shorter. it looks fantastic from the front and okay/ passable in the back. if you are a size 6 or lower you can get the medium but it will be too big. you can try my suggestion as it did help me and i couldn't bear to send back this one of a kind gem.
