Was very happy when I purchased this computer and it was working fine until 2 weeks ago and it went black. Nothing is working. For now it's a 1 star rating. I'm returning it for an exchange and see what happens then. I understand that most of the Gateway systems are refurbished equipment by Acer. Hmmmm...

i really like this computer it is easy to use because it is so light weight and functions like a big laptop just not as heavy. The screen is just as bright as the big ones. My grandaughter especially loves it. I am really very satisfied with my purchase.

This laptop is small, but very powerful.
I can easily take it with me in my car to keep updated on my employer's website, and the built in webcam is great for talking to friends & family.
It is well worth the money.

I ordered this in March and it has died twice. The first time I sent it back after much convincing that it just went dark on me and had to pay $24.00 to ship back and now after I have had it back two weeks it's doing it again. I'm disgusted. Has anyone every gotten their money back from this piece of junk?

READ THE WARRANTY PRIOR TO PURCHASE.
NO DOUBT I WILL BE OUT THE $500 I PAID. Started 2 give me problems by shutting off in the middle of doing things-NO NOTICE. Then running hot, blue screen, black restart screen. Then dead, WILL NOT TURN ON.
Just finished making my payments & now have to deal with Gateway, not HSN & the warranty states that I will have to PAY TO SHIP THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE TO THEM, & THERE ARE MANY REASONS THAT THEY WON'T FIX AN ITEM--WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS.

I've had this netbook for about 3 months now, and I love it! It hasn't slowed down at all, even after putting hundreds of pictures on it, plus videos and mp3s. It is so light you can take it anywhere, just fits right in my purse. Get it before it's gone!

I brought this for my granddaugther because it was a Gateway, I didn't know that Acer brought Gateway. No, matter it's the customer sevice that determines whether a customer comes back for a repeat buy. The battery went out only after 4 months, I was told by HSN and the customer service department in INDIA sorry, it was going to take $40.00 from me to replace the battery, sorry I didn't feel right about giving my credit card information to someone in INDIA!!!!

This is a nice little computer, better than others I tried, but it's way over priced and the included software is useless. I would have been better off just buying the computer from Gateway and using the money I saved to buy the full Microsoft Word.

This is da bomb -- so mobile it fits in a purse 2 lbs lightweight-- I cant sing it's praises enough-- all you need is an external DVD drive to add your usual software and you are all set. This is the future of computing--you can carry it everywhere with you. I would love to get another one --but will wait for the next model changes. Gateway you are the best!-- I have had 6 Gateways and all of them have been wonderful. Keep up the great work!--Andrea

after removing my Gateway netbook from the box, I was up and running in about 15 minutes. After setting it up, it's hard to set down. I barely even touch my "full size" notebook. Great for watching HULU movies, surfing, e-mailing, and saving pdf documents for later reading. When I'm home I carry this little fun factory all over. Gateway, you actually exceeded my expectations on this one. Great job!

I recently purchased the Gateway Netbook - I absolutely love it! We have a computer downstairs - but I rarely want to sit down there on the computer. Since I have this netbook, I can catch up more on my emails and enjoy searching the internet while watching tv. It is just the right size, for my uses it is sufficient. It even has enough memory to play full length tv episodes. Seems to log onto the internet quite easily. Def a worthwhile purchase.

Let me start by saying It's small and Cute. I purchased 2 at499.99 laptops one stop working so I purchased another (3) cheaper priced at 429.00 recv'd a refund but the refund was debited from my account as a payment not to mention the refund was for the one that cost 429.00 not the one that cost me 499.00 and the nightmare goes on love the size but a nightmare to return and it will cost 28.00 or more to return Enjoy your laptop guys

What a huge mistake! This is the slowest computer I have ever had. Can not get on the internet! It's not my provider either because we have other laptops and the internet connection is just fine. It simply was a waste of my money. Now I have to figure out how to get my money back and get it returned. For some reason HSN did not send a return label with this product. From what I have just read from the other reviews its going to be a pain to do a return. But, RETURN it I will. It's a waste.

What a great deal! We are in a charter public school. This mini is perfect for my 5 year old daughter, as well as "Mom" on the run. It operates smoothly, easy to install programs...set up in minutes...a breeze! NO PROBLEMS! Highly Satisfied!

I got mine, and I like it, my plans were to take it for my trip but I received late. any way I use it for little things right now. My main use will be for when I travel. I think it will be great. I do not have to use my big laptop, to heavy. I think this one is a good quality brand and I can compare with the PC's I have and work very well. I will keep it. I have others that will be handle the big load.

We bought two of these little laptops for our daughters.One daughter is a college student and she loves how she can take this computer along with her to school and work. Our other daughter is a High School Senior and she also loves her little laptop. Both laptops have been used alot daily and neither one of them have had any problems.
I tried to use this little laptop and found that I perfer a larger screen size. When I question my daughters about the screen size, they say that they like it.

Received it in 2 days. No problem to set up. Connected to my wireless network just fine. I love the small size because it fits right in my bag. I use it for my Bible Study Lessons. I loaded my bible software just fine (I have an external drive). It's nice to go to class with all of my work done on this little guy, and I'm also able to read my bible and access other study tools right at my fingertips. It's much lighter than carrying a big bible. I'd really recommend it for students.

I ordered this computer a month ago and loved it but was quirky at times. Two days ago the screen went black and would not come back on. Called HSN and they gave me the Gateway customer service number. After one hour he decided I needed to send the computer in for repair. Called HSN and told them I just wanted to return it. Have to wait two weeks for Gateway to send me a return label then pay for the return myself. My advice is not to waste your time and money on this item.
