I am a professional artist/painter. I always need new brushes so I thought that I would give these a try, even though they aren't the standard pro. brushes. This item arrived and I was very surprised to see that the box was made from balsa wood, super cheap and flimsy. Some of the brushes were missing. The brushes that I received were of average quality and could be purchased online for less. Disappointed.

Just got my case and brushes today and am debating whether to send it back or not. Love having all the brushes but the case is disappointing.
Many of the longer acrylic and enamel brushes do not fit in 2 of the 3 trays without the bristles bending. The inside of the trays are 7 3/4" and many of the brushes are 8" long. To prevent the bristles from bending, they would need to be put in the same tray with the big HD brushes (14" lengthwise tray).
Was hoping to have 1 tray for enamels, 1 for acrylics, and 1 for HD. If I'm going to have to put 50% of my brushes in the same tray I might as well continue using mugs for storage. The case needs to be deeper to accommodate the 8" brushes.

This is a very good value, All of the brushes you would ever need are in this set. My only complant is that the case is of poor quality, the nobs had to be glued back on and the draws do not go in and out easly. If the case were heavier or perhaps had rubber (legs) it would greatly improve the case.

Fantastic brush collection. Would cost a lot more to buy all these brushes separately; great value. Well worth the price for the brushes along. Did not care for the box to store brushes. Not well made & trays are barely long enough to hold brushes. Makes a good jewelry box.

I love these brushes. I have been painting for five years and owned some of these brushes.
All of these brushes would cost me many dollars more than the HSN price.
I'm ordering another set to use at home in Florida. I own a set I keep in Colorado. I don't know where I could be sure of getting all these brushes, in one place, in either Florida, Colorado nor New Mexico. I'm sure I'd spend as much on gasoline, as the cost of this brush set and waste many hours driving.

This kit has all the brushes - BUT the 'wood' case is not the greatest. It looks like it's made of thin cheap wood byproducts - and it is fragile. Mine is chipped and the drawers are mis-aligned. Something plastic would serve better.
