Beautiful in a dark room with all other lights turned off. But be prepared to have to take it apart and reassemble it! The brass shaft that runs from the bottom of the base up through the lit chamber isn't screwed in all the way; those bright brassy threads stand out like a sore thumb. To fix it you have to disassemble the lit chamber (which I haven't done yet, so I don't know if it's fixable). All the screws holding the lit chamber together are loose and falling out (maybe so you can fix that shaft). And the "brass" finish looks cheap -- not like other lamps. For this much money I expected a LOT more. Also, spiders have eight legs, not six -- that's going to annoy me every time I look at it. That may be picky, but for five hundred dollars they should have them!
