I bought this computer for the "bells and whistles" it offered and for the price. Having only purchased Dell computers in the past, we took a chance with this brand.
It came with Windows Vista and it showed that we would be able to upgrade to Windows 7, however, Acer now tells us we are not eligible for that upgrade.
In addition, not only does Acer have horrible customer service, this computer is a lemon.
I regret buying an Acer product and will never stray from Dell Computers again. In fact, we bought a Dell laptop when we realized what a lemon Acer computers were.
Remember, you don't always get what you pay for. You take your chances like everything else you buy. But, if you're told you will be allowed to upgrade to Windows 7 and then told otherwise, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

I bought the Acer 17" Dual core laptop. It was the best investment I have made in a long time. It gave vitamins to my small business. I own a make-up artist agency and I also provided retouching services for many of my clients. This laptop lets me do my job on the go. I can be on set with our clients and while the artists work I can retouch photos for the photographers. And because of the flex-pay option I was able to focus on my work, not on how I was going to pay for what I needed. I mean it came with all the retouching software I needed. Even the software for the web-cam which allows me to talk to my mom and little sister out of state was awesome. Thanks HSN!

I've had my laptop since April - Use it every day - And i've had absolutely no problem with it. The system works as well and as fast as the day i received it. I am definitely glad i invested in ths product I find it to be an Excellent product

The monitor on this computer flickers constantly. HSN has been no help and getting support from Acer is just as bad. I will not buy from HSN or Acer again.

This is was an awesome deal. I love it. Just get it home, open it, turn it on, and start surfin the net. I didn't care for all the added software but that was an easy fix. lol :)

I got my computer in May. I was nervous about it with all the mixed reviews about it. So far I have not had any problems with it. It runs today just like it did when I first got it. I think this is the best investment I have made in a while.

I have had several systems in my life time and this one is a bomb waiting to explode. It freezes, it's slow, it has bad drivers, and the mouse goes where it wants. Acer's support answers the phone immediately, but they refuse to believe that Acer could make a defective devise. I had to go into the hospital and missed the 30-day return by four days and HSN would not accept and Acer will not accept this as a return. I am stuck with this NOTHING system.

This laptop is great for my needs. I use it strictly for home and love the mobility. I have had no problems with multiple windows open or w/it freezing up. Now that I have the 17", my 15.4" looks small. Love having the full keyboard-never realized how often I use the 10-key number buttons until I didn't have them (w/15.4"). Haven't really used the web cam, so can't comment on that. All in all, I LOVE my laptop and am glad I bought it. Thanks, HSN for having such a great product on value pays!!!

I ordered my laptop 5/7/09... received it shortly thereafter and have loved every minute of it ... have had NO problems at all... I was very sceptical after seeing other reviews but I am here to tell you I LOVE THIS LAPTOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My review is based on 2 months of attempting to work on this computer. Issues: It freezes up,does not allow many more than two windows to open at the same time, and the touch pad is simply defective. It takes about 5 attempts to get the pointer to it's destination and stay long enough, before it jumps back to the middle of the computer screen, to click on a link. This computer is not for someone that knows computers. It is really very close to being just another piece of junk.

The mouse pad on this computer went out three weeks after I got it. When I did get a hold of customer service, they could not help me. I will be shipping it to Acer Customer Service within next week or so to get it repaired. Acer does not pay the cost to ship to them. What a waste of money for me. I WILL NEVER ORDER ANY TYPE OF ELECTRONIC MERCHANDISE FROM HSN EVER AGAIN AND I HAVE RELATED MY DIFFICULTIES WITH ALL OF MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. I WANT THEM TO BEWARE OF BAD MERCHANDISE COMING FROM HSN!

I have no complaints about my notebook. I have had it for 2 months now and it serves the purpose. I have had no problems at all. I love the size I use it on my desk as a desktop or I have the convenience of carrying it with me.

So I tried playing videos and they were very distorted. I called Acer support who after trouble shooting directed me to one of their sites to download all of the drives I see there. Hello, the laptop is missing several drives, I called HSN and they are sending me a return shipment label. I wanted to keep it but after reading all the reviews, plus what's going on with this laptop and again, it is really heavy...it is definitely going back. 10 days at least for return label to arrive.

Bought my computer a month ago. I am typeing with it right now. Keys seem fine, touch pad works fine. The computer is a little on the heavy side but its a large laptop. Computer loads right up and performes fast for its stats.All the negitive reviews makes me wounder if there was a bad batch. I even droped mine in the driveway from about 2 feet up getting it out of my truck. It hit right on the corner of it chipping it but i came in and turned it on and to my susprise it works just fine.

I bought this computer in April 2009 thru HSN. The computer is good but the technical support is terrible. I am very disappointed. The computer did not come with instructions on how to burn a CD or DVD and when I called technical support,I was told that to get this information, I have to pay 59.95 dollars for 30 minutes to walk me through. THis is not right.Because of this, I DO NOT recommend this computer to anyone . HSN should include this information when they are selling this product.

Very large and heavy on lap. Keys seem to stick somewhat...have to push very hard and watch what you are typing as letters don't always appear, frustrating will be returning to HSN.

I just bought my laptop and it has been working great. I have not had any problems with it. The big 17" LCD screen is nice, also the high definition audio sound sounds great. I understand that it also plays blue ray DVDs. I give it a four star rating.

Bought computer came with program problems and virus, took weeks to get return lable from HSn then returned they have for a week now still not computer sent out, HSN is clueless everytime i call they know nothing always say we will call them bad customer service. I paid no computer has been 31 days now
