Very sharp-looking laptop. Bought the red for my son's graduation in June 2009. This system has given him much grief. He has had to reload all the drivers. The computer is crashed again, now, and a Windows disc did not come with the system. It was nice that we were able to take advantage of flex-pay option for this item, but not worth the money in the long run. Move to a more stable system.

I just love this computer. From lighted keys to the 64 bit system, this computer outshines the previous purchases. With the free Windows 7 upgrade, this bargain couldn't have gotten any better. Very pleased with this purchase.

My PC laptop has been working with nothing going wrong. Verry happy with my PC, but not with the wireless mouse that came with it. It broke trying to change the batteries.

I like this laptop however, when typing an e-mail, often , when I type, the letters do not make it to the screen, the keys must be struck squarely in the middle and solidly or the letter does not appear on the screen and then I have to backspace to re-type the word. I am 50 and was not raised with comuputers as my children were and do not know all of the shortcut for words that the younger generation use so this is a distraction for me, it slows down my productivity, also, the battery life is extremely short and lasts only an hour or so, if these two drawbacks were corrected this would be a five star product.

I love the lighted key board, the high definition screen, the features of the laptop, the speed, but the only thing that I am not pleased with is the battery. The features say "3 hour battery life" but honestly, it seems like it only last 1- 2 hours. Three hours goes by so fast for me and by the time you know it, the battery is low. They should have included a longer-lasting battery with this nice laptop, especially for the price that I paid for it.

I purchased a gateway laptop and this is the first gatewaty I have had.
Had 4 months and it does not work now.
Never again will I order GATEWAY.
One of the reasons that I ordered was that you really pushed on how great tech support was--wronggggggggg!
Gateway has lousy support--I contacted them imediately and after I gave them the serial number that processed the problem as solved! Did nothing to resolve told me to wait another 7 days before I can asked them again.
This is so when I do wait my warranty will be up. I have repeatly emailed and get the same response-I have sent proff of registration and everything. My advice is to never order anything from gateway.
Had 4 months and it does not work now.
Never again will I order GATEWAY.

The computer is GREAT.However,they fail to tell you that the preloaded Microsoft office and all the other Microsoft items are only good for 60 days! After that YOU have to buy those items. HSN NEVER says that in any of the ad's and I think it's VERY unfair to the consumer that buys this nice little computer!!

I got this in May and have really enjoyed using it. With a very inexpensive HDMI cable I can connect this to my 50" plasma, and watch Netflix instant view movies like I'm in a theater. Everything has worked perfectly, with the exception of a sticking keyboard... But that seems to be loosening up over time. Webcam works great, dvd player works great. It's a little bit heavy, but I enjoy the huge screen, so it's worth it. The lighted keys are awesome for nighttime use. Super fast for gaming.

Will not buy another Gateway. This is my second and my complaint is the same with regards to the power supply. I had to send it in to get a new power supply, they would not allow me to just send in the plug. Then once it got back to me, the Vista operating system would not install after running updates. Had to reinstall the recovery image. Then again had same issue with regards to operating system but this time unable to recover the system from the hard drive image and requested image disk which for all my troubles I am being charged $19.95. Never had any problems with my Dell but wanted to give Gateway another chance. The support is too limited. Will buy Dell or even HP in the future, but if I were you, I would stay clear of this particular model.

I absolutely LOVE my gateway laptop. It is super fast, and has great features. It has the power of a desktop in a sleek and portable design. I would buy this laptop again in a heart beat! I honestly recommend this for anyone who is on the fence. It truly is a great piece of equipment.

I ordered this in May '09 and have been using it all summer for browsing, email, games, etc. Speedy, easy to use, no glitches. Battery life is not great, but I'm plugged in most of time. My first computer that I don't have to share and it is my baby. Also my first laptop. I'm glad I ordered from HSN because it was the Special of the Day and I used flex pay.

PROS: LOVE the HD screen, LOVE the speed, LOVE the lighted keypad, LOVE the 4Gigs of Ram, LOVE that it doesnt burn hot even after hours of use, LOVE the 3hrs OR MORE of battery life (TO GET 3hrs OR MORE: CHARGE BATTERY FULLY WHILE OFF BEFORE 1ST USE), LOVE the piano black color, LOVE that it perorms many tasks all at once, LOVE the flexpay options. CONS: HATE that the keys stick sometimes, HATE that the volume isnt more substantial (all laptop volume sucks though), HATE that the hardrive is WAYYYYYYY SMALLER than advertised (ONLY ABOUT 109 GIGS AVAILABLE). All in all I am enjoying my purchase.

I got this as a TSV, I don't understand why all the bad reviews, I guess there could be a few in the bunch that r bad..but the complaints I read seem to be more people problems than puter problems, as for those wth battery problems it stated was a 3 hr battery...so when at home I keep mine plugged in not a big deal 4 me. I have not had 1 problem wth puter, It's fast,easy to use,love the keyboard,and the high def,only thing not crazy about is the speaker system but hey it's a laptop not a stereo system right? I couldn't be anymore happy with this purchase, which is my 2nd gateway, 1st 1 still runs like it's new and have had it for 8 years. would highly recomend

Works great! No problems yet. love the light up keys. The keys work great and dont stick like other reviews. The only thing I dont like is how my dogs hair sticks to it.

The quality and price was outstanding so I purchased two red ones. I sit in my bed at night and play on my computer and read my mail because the keys lights up so you do not have to keep the lights on in the bedroom to type.
My son was so thrilled with the looks, quality and price for this computer.
We both have a red one, but we are in different states.
It is worth the money and the good thing about it, I used the flex pay and we got the computers really fast.
