I have had my Acer Laptop for 5 months. I love it! It does everything I want it to do. It's very portable- I can take it anywhere. It was easy to set up- I got it out of the box and was surfing the net in about 5 minutes. I recommend this computer for anyone who is wanting a lightweight, very travel friendly, laptop. Excellent for surfing the web. I also own a Toshiba Laptop - 17" screen and I use my Acer way more than my Toshiba due to the small size of my Acer.

It's ok for a small laptop to take on the run; inconvenient for the screen size and no DVD/CD playing options.
It's good for someone who just needs to take a pc w/ them and maybe a flash drive for storing stuff....not the ideal laptop for everyday/consistent use.

For those of you who know anything about computers, this is for you. Of course it doesn't have the DVD drive but you have options. Don't let the neg. reviews mislead you. Get it!

This was a great purchase. I did not think I would like it at first, but the ease of moving it becuse of its size makes it great. I am very pleased with my purchase. I can take it with me anywere, to work, on vacation, or just from room to room. I got the red one, and it is a jewel. I love it and would recomend it to anyone thinking of purchasing it. My needs are not that technical, so it has been very easy to use; it better than takes care of my needs.

Love this computer! It is great for travel and so much lighter than my larger ACER Laptop. This is a must have for the person on the go who wants to stay connected. Great memory and love that it is Vista ready. You will not be disappointed. ACER is just a great computer.

I love this laptop and bought it as an upgrade to the 8.9 Acer Aspire One I bought around Christmas 2008 but bundling Windows Vista with an Adam processor running at only 1.2 GHZ is the biggest blunder Acer could have made. Vista makes it use almost 100% of the processor all the time even when you are doing almost nothing and it is starting to crash and hang up more and more. If I could only get Windows XP installed on the machine instead of Vista I know it would work smoothly.

Don't believe what they say folks..bottom of this computer gets very hot like reviewers say...takes forever to go from one application to another...sending it back & buying another DELL...

I bought this computer for the small size, GB & RAM. Overall I am happy with it. I am computer savvy & have not problems with this computer. It is a NETBOOK computer and NOT a regular laptop NOTEBOOK computer,(there is a difference). It is great for traveling & tagging along to the local bookstore or coffee shop. It is great for accessing the internet & email. It is what it is. I recommend it for photos, email and internet surfing.

Installed the free software.One of the games kept freezing.Had also installed free software on my fairly new Compaq desktop.Problem occured a few weeks after use.At first the Acer would not boot-up.Error.Would only allow me to do system restore with factory defaults.Lost everything.To make matters worse the same happened with my desktop.Lost pictures,music,EVERYTHING!This did not happen with my Gateway laptop because I did not install the Free Software Essentials on it.Thank God!!!!!!

I've had my Acer for about 2 months now and have had no problems at all. I took it on vacation and used it every day, it really does fit in your purse. Four hour battery life is really only about 2 hours, but it charges pretty fast so it's not a problem for me. I purchased one for myself and one for my husband and have had no problem with either one. Haven't tried the web cam yet so am not sure about that. But really, this is a great little computer and I'm very happy that I bought it.

My AT&T provider set up my computer for me. Started working for me immediately. So far I haven't had any any major problems. Didn't load flash drive program, since some reviews said it might add to slow computer down. Battery lasts a little over 2 hrs. but ready to give my eyes a rest when time to recharge. Recharge is very quick. Will use my desktop or laptop for word processing & photo work. Does get hot, but just put a magazine underneath & it's enough. Won't be using the webcam.

The little guy is cute but slow. It gets hot on bottom and battery only lasts 2 hrs. It does work good and I love the size. Wish I had waited for gateway or dell.

I purchased my net book a month ago. I don't have to run home to the desktop; nor do I have to lug my heavy laptop around. I don't have any problems with it running slow or freezing up. I can put this baby in my purse (with cover) and know I have a completely functional, fully automated, reliable office on the go. I don't have to rush home to the computer or lug the big laptop ever again. I'm lovin' it!! Thanks Acer/HSN!

For the most part I am happy with my "corvette'. But I am not happy it doesn't keep the 4 hour charge. I have been unable to access the email I even had my brother in law look at it and he could not figute it out. I still or keep getting error codes. i'll keep trying thought i have had it longer than a month by now. on the good side i love the card game solitaire jewel I enjoy jeopardy and some of the other "freebees that came with >.

I have had this computer for a while now and have been using it everyday. I bought it because it has more GB and Ram then any other netbook. It is not as fast as your regular laptop but what do you expect. This is great for travel and wonderful to use.

Was very excited when I saw this netbook with the larger screen. Thought this might be just what I had been looking for. Not so. It's very slow and although I did not have the freezing problems that lots of others had, I quickly realized that I would never be satisfied with this. May be OK for some very basic tasks but if you like to watch any kind of streaming video, forget it. It just doesn't have what it takes. Sadly, I sent it back. Save your money and buy a real notebook.

I was very happy at first found it easy to use and the screen was clear and readable
It would shut off automatically
I went on-line to read reviews and others were having the same problems
It never charged to 4 hours
I just sent it back
When it comes to computers I don't think the kinks were worked out of this model and wish it was as good as they made it seem on air

I was excited to get the product and it worked well at first, but before the month was over, it kept freezing and shutting down on me. It continues to just send me pop up messages about the computer system and eventually I couldn't even log onto it anymore. I couldn't get through to get tech support from the company. I will not buy Acer product again. Will be going back to Dell.

What a disappointment! Sluggish internet connection, froze up on me, wierd touchpad. Save your money. Sending it back tomorrow, thank goodness for HSN's 30 day guarantee.

cant beat the price on this but it dosent have a cd drive i guess thats my fault for not checking prior to buying and every time i play a game on it it freezes. after reading other peoples problems about it i might send it back
