I love the design. However, there's no CD drive and I assumed there would be. It should be called a Netbook not Notebook. Also, the controls are difficult to handle (ie: the touch pad). And, finally the SOUND IS HORRIBLE.

Just a few days left of my trial, the screen went blue. Having it in the truck meant I had to return home before shipping it back. Well, $25.00 to ship it back to Acer later, I did receive a new one. Working fine for now, but after reading the other review's, I see that I'm not the only one with the blank screen problem. Let's hope that the problem is fix. Would buy again?, no.

I have had this computer since the end of June. In August the screen went blank and I could not power it back on I had to send it to Acer (pay 23.00) for shipping and insurance. i have it back after 2 weeks, the computer is slow and the keys are falling off. This computer stays stationary, and I am the only one who uses it. I purchased this hoping it would be good for my online classes to be very disappointed. I called HSN almost 60 days after purchase. They said after 30 days I have to deal with ACER. I can not exchange it nor get my money back.

i got the acer i liked it at first the sound was great until i had to try and use the headphones and they didn't work without shorting out and making noise! i called acer they said i would have to pay to ship it back it was only a week later .it also scratched easy and frooze up badly ! i thought about it called hsn and they sent me a retun label i shipped back a week later i recived payment

I so wanted to love this laptop. For $$, ILBS, compact, 4GB RAM & 320HDD, unbeatable compared to the MAC. The sound was not super loud but was ok. The wifi signal was horrible. I was at my inlaws house. The dont have internet but all have laptops. All other laptops in home pickup wifi signal from other homes. This laptop didn't no matter where I stood, I even went outside. At home with my own wifi system my laptop was very slow in loading this while online. I will return. Sorry HSN keep trying.

This computer is lightweight and the keys were great. However, the sound was horrible. The price was too much to pay to keep it with little to no sound. Acer needs to work on this and HSN should check these things out before shipping. It cost me about $25 to return this defective product. HSN should refund my money like their competitor doesn when there is a defect.

Computer seems to work well and is light to carry. There is an error message which appears everytime I boot up and I emailed customer service at Acer over 2 weeks ago with no response. Web site would not allow me to register machine because the model number is not listed in choices. It would be nice if HSN or Acer backed up their claim about support and customer service but this is not the first purchase (previous Gateway) I have had poor response

The screen is beautiful and the keys are easy to type on, BUT, the sound is horrible. I called Acer and they had me format the computer to reinstall all the software. The sound is still terrible. The sound is OK with earbuds, but who wants to walk around with earbuds attached to your computer? Also, I thought it would be speedy but, considering the 4 gigs of ram, it is slow. The jury is still out on whether I will keep it. I thank HSN for the 30 days to try it.

I rushed order my Acer Timeline and received it June 16th. It is a beautiful machine. The keys felt very nice and it was light to handle. Unfortunately while loading software, the system crashed (blue screen) and would not come back up. No harddrive light or anything. Since I had not had the opportunity to register the computer, Acer support would not help me. I had to send it back to the manufacturer on June 18th. So I hope they are not rushing to make these and not inspecting.

I've had my Acer for 2 days and I can honestly say that I love it! The speed, HD screen and the big keys on the keyboard are great. The battery life does go to about 8 hours running the WiFi and several programs in the background. I love the fact that the battery does not stick out of the back and it is nicely intergrated into the design of the computer. The best part for me is the touchpad lock. It has more power than a netbook but weighs the same, so get this you won't regret it.

My Acer Timeline arrived today. After downloading all updates from Microsoft, I have thoroughly enjoyed this little computer. The mouse pad is intuitive and easy to use. The keyboard is excellent. I have already downloaded some of the programs from the SD card provided by HSN. I had no problem watching video on demand at Amazon or any news video. I have an external dvd drive if I need to download anything else that is not on the SD card. It is light, balanced and just simply awesome.
