Traveling is much easier with this little netbook. I have large hands and find the keyboard easy to use. I connect to wireless networks across the country and the battery gives me 6 hours. The display is crisp and easy to read. I sometimes use a mouse , but find the touch pad easy to use also.

I originally bought this to give my son (13 yrs) for Christmas, but I wanted to try it out first. I am 4 months into this little guy , and it has been great! It is powerful and gets the job done. Setting up network connectivity was easy, the increase/decrease monitor screen feature is pretty cool. I have not used the webcam with anyone yet, but did test it out to see how it would work. The software was a BONUS, and great may I add. We find ourselves watching TV shows on it from time to time. Please note you must buy a CD/DVD drive to install software (Microsoft, etc) you currenlty own-it ran me about $70. *You may be able to install software from a flash drive if you are computer savyy. Now the little guy puts everything at my fingertips. I am very pleased with the purchase and my son loves it. I gave it 4 stars because I had to purchase the CD/DVD drive, BUT I can also watch movies using it. WIN WIN situation.

This is a great transition and alternative from the old, very heavy larger notebook computers. I love the portability and wireless capability for internet access. There are three problems I have encountered: 1) accessing the internet is not possible in most places using WIFI other than my home wireless router; 2) the screen resolution spontaneously flips to a small er font without a deliberate command, which requires that I reset it; and 3) the screen resolution will not accomodate the higher screen resolution required for Adobe, therefore preventing viewing of pdf documents.

Don't be afraid of this small and VERY cute computer! It is quite powerful and very useful and lightweight for me. The reason I am not giving it a 5 star is because I was not super happy with the built in mouse. I did however, purchase a small external mouse and now it is perfect. I got the red one and adore it!!

This computer may be small but it's fast. I have a 17" laptop by a big name company which cost more then 3x what this one did, ( and it's newer) which is so much slower. This is definintely worth the price just to have as a back-up if nothing else

Purchased this note book in Red for my daughter in college and she LOVES IT!!!
Perfect for on the go, fits even in large slouch or tote bags and works wonderful.
Not to big or small and you get a lot of bang for your buck!

I purchased this netbook about two months ago for my grandson so I would have access to my own computer! He loves it and so do his cousins (who often come here to visit). My granddaughters had told their mom that they wanted full size laptops until they got to play with this this Acer. Now they both want computers like this one.

I have the ACER 8.9 and was very happy about it. Since then the 10.1 came, I ordered it because It is a little bit bigger than the 8.9.
I was excited because of the color and the look. I charged the battery and tried to configure it. The screen was dark (dim) even when the ac adapter was connected. I tried to connect to my wireless network using my WEP and WPA key but it did not work. My desktop and my other laptop work so there is no reason that this mini will not work. I returned the computer and have not heard about it. I was very happy with 8.9 though.

Have had my Acer 10.1 Acer Netbook for 3 months-as well as the Brother Inkjet Multifunctional Printer- Both products are Everything as advertised on HSN channel

I got this mini acer cause I have an 14.1 laptop already. Have had no problems out of it. So I went on got the mini. Buy one their in style now. You will like it and get your moneys worth.

This is a great little computer. I love the easy to take with you size and yet it still has the power I need.
I rated this a 4 since you cannot create a backup disc which the computer keeps saying you need. I did call HSN customer service and they referrred me to Acer's customer service. Acer's customer service did send me a back up disc and stated I would need to get a portable disc drive to use it. That is not in the budget right now. You should be able to back it up on the memory card they send. I did purchase one initially for that purpose and called customer service when I couldn't get that to work.

I travel alot. My 15.4" w/3-call battery laptop was pretty hard to bring along. This mini is perfect and actually use this one at home more than the larger laptop too. Seems faster and does the same but less weight and can put it in my purse. It took a little time to get use to the small mouse pad and actually got a wireless mouse but either way works for me now.
Key board is pretty close to regular size. Like the 6-cell battery. LUV IT!

Some of the reviews here were scary since I have no idea how to set up and get a computer going. Mine worked beautifully from the start and I absolutely love it. Its cute, its fast and has all that I need to move around easily. I always love when my orders arrive fast (before I forget what I've ordered during days of waiting) and this one came in 3 days. Acer could not connect with wireless printer. Acer charged $119.00 and spent l hour for no connection. HSN Rep says it's my fault for not asking if XP(Netbook) and Vista(myDesktop) are compatible. Printer works on both systems. Rep did not understand the different systems but was sure it was my fault. If Netbook does not work with Vista why not state in sales pitch;if it does I should get #119.00 back!

I bought this for my husband for when he goes to Iraq and this is perfect! Its a great size and when we turned it on was able to get on the internet right away! It was definitely worth the money

i'm a first time laptop owner, and i love this mini one. i am completely computer set-up illiterate, and i had this laptop up an running in no time at all, its so easy and guides you step by step. the screen is nice and bright, dont like to touch pad too much, but i will get a mouse. i'm very happy with my acer mini laptop.
