Ordered this TV and received it within one week. Very well packaged and easy to set up. Beautiful black gloss finish and thin so it doesn't take up too much space. If you want a great picture quality and a beautiful looking TV - this is the one for you.

did not receive free hdmi cable as advertised, called hsn, was refferred to hitachi, hitachi referred me back to hsn, hsn promised cable, but sent a letter saying if i was dissatified to return the tv, was so dissapointed, not a good way to treat a customer, bought hdmi cable for $27, never believe them if they promise to ship tv with free hdmi cable

The picture is awesome the sound and options are almost perfect. The only thing missing is of course an ethernet port but I knew that before I bought it.
I have it hooked up with wireless N through a pc and it is the best tv I've ever had.
Good thing it came with a protective outter box because the outter box was super beat up.

At first I was concerned about the picture quality, then found that my cable at the wall was loose. After tightening the connection the picture is FANTASTIC. I have a 46" Sony Bravia in the living room and this Hitachi I got for the bedroom is has as good or better picture than it has.

We received our TV 13 days after I ordered it. We had had a Hitachi TV 42", but it was not a flat screen. We loved the older TV, we had it for 11 years. The only issue with it was at about 5 years old. They had to replace the "picture tube" which was over $800, but warranty covered it all.
The HD cord is included (they are not always). This TV did not have nearly as good a direction book. Just know this, if you use the HD cord, you do not use the twist in cable cord also.
After 3 months, still a great picture, glare that was a problem before is negligable while the TV sits in same position as previous TV. The sound is not quite as good as previous unit. The older one sat on lg speakers built in. The "stand" that is built in allows a small twist/turn action that is nice.
All in all, we love the TV and still say "Man that is a good picture." every time we sit down and turn it on.

So far, so good! This television is beautiful and has been a conversation piece since it was delivered. Watching a movie, playing a game, or just flipping channels is now a heightened experience. I love my TV and I look forward to buying more from HSN.

Received unit in about a weeks time from ordering. When I hooked up to directv's basic receiver the picture was fair. Once I upgraded to an HD DVR and pulled in full HD, the picture quality is FANTASTIC! This is an awesome TV and fits the bedroom perfectly and has great sound quality. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a 42" LCD.

I can't emphasize enough how much I wanted my story to have a happy ending. I even waited to write my review. Rec'd on 08/26 just 5 business days after order. Very impressive! But t.v. was broken...less impressed now!! That's ok, customer service was great, "we'll even pay to have UPS pick it up"... I'm happy again. 3 days later, "yes, we've received it and your new t.v. should be shipped shortly." My confidence has been restored. 1 week, 2 weeks...no t.v. "It's sold out but we have one on hold for you since your t.v. returned long before we did" Yeaaaah! A happy ending is soon to come. 2 days later..."We're sorry, the vendor canceled the order, there was not one on hold for you after all." Very unhappy now. Oh well. Found it at the competition!! Their loss.

I have wanted a LCD for years, however didn't want to pay the price for it when they first hit the market... I love this tv and the fact that I was able to get it on 4 flex pay well let's just say it made my day... Tv has a beautiful picture and is very easy to set up. Sound is good in comparision to some other LCD sets that I salivated over prior to buying this one. Thanks HSN for the quaility of products that you supply and the flex pay option!!!!!!

This is my first time writing a review. It took only three days for me to receive my new 42 LCD TV. One week before the scheduled estimated delivery date. My sons were in shock when they saw the size. Wow !! This is my first LCD and I am loving it..... I had been doing some research on the difference between 1080p and the 720p and I tell you it does make a difference. The purchase price was just right along with 4 flex payments, free shipping and delivered to my door step. HELLO...... That is a plus. High Definition (HD) is a most have and this Hitachi 42 LCD TV makes viewing your shows and movies in a new and refreshing light. I will be purchasing another TV for my Living Room. You go HSN..

I read all the reviews on this TV before purchasing and they were all right.This TV was easy to set up and the picture is out of this world. I bought it for the family room but it now sits in our bedroom courtesy of my husband. He refuses to place it any where else and keeps commenting on how clear the picture is. He states it makes you feel as if you are a part of what's going on.

I received my t.v. within 5 days - packed well, box within a box with additional packing material for proctection - installation was a breeze- wonderful t.v.!! great picture, and on HD channels the pics are phenomenal! great surround sound, you name it! 42" screen is much larger than i imagined! My family and I are very pleased and highly recommend.
