From the first time I used this product it has malfunctioned. I only used it once when half way through the trip it shut down. Now I can't program it. I downloaded the newest version software (as per their tech's instructions) and it is still malfunctioning. Waiting to hear if they will cover it under warranty. Like I said DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on this unit.

Not being lost and having to ask for directions has been amazing. The exit lane feature warns you to get in the correct lane. The audible lane exit signal prevents you from missing an upocming exit. I love this thing.

I love love love everything about this GPS, EXCEPT the aquirring of a signal. I have found that it takes longer than other GPS units I have purchaed. Don't get me wrong graphics are great and it is easy to use! But it does get kind of frustating when you are trying to use the unit to go somewhere and it take almost up to 5mins to aquire a signal.

I bought this for my son, who had left his GPS on a vacation when he took it with him. He works in the service industry, and uses the GPS daily to get to customer's houses. He has now had this for just over three months, and the cable that connects to the GPS and the charger outlet has broken. I was very disappointed to hear this after the amount paid for it. It is now useless to him, and I am hoping that HSN will assist with this.

When I received the Magellan Road Mate, I was nervous and scared to try it because I didn't want to get loss. But honey let me tell you when I tried it, I was amazed. This navigator is so easy to use. You just plug it in, tell it where you want to go and honey it takes you to the front door. I like that Magellan tells you when to make a left or right or how far you have to go before you have to make a turn. It also tells you to stay in the lane until it wants you to get over to the left or right or exit the highway. It's beautiful. Thanks Magellan RoadMate for making places that you don't know, so easy to find. And of course, thanks HSN.

I bought this before we had to go to LI for a memorial, and to NYC which I don't like to drive to it, around it, or over it! :) Okay, here I am taking the Taconic Parkway, then all of the sudden it froze. I had directions from Mapquest also, if it wasn't for that who knows! It froze to Long Island, and it took me around and around NYC, we were lost for hours. It kept freezing, and there was not way we could reset it! It was scary! When you don't know where you are, it is scary. Perhaps, there was a problem with that particular GPS, but no matter what I will not go back to that brand. I had a Garmin and gave it to my sister, she loves it! and, I could not take it back, now I bought a Tom Tom, and so far so good, just have to read the instructions. :) This doesn't have to be helpful, but this was my experience. Hopefully everyone else had better luck. I am very grateful that HSN can take it back within 3o days, I almost didn't make it, but I did get a refund. Thanks HSN.

It works great, and I've put it throught the test! I've even purposely taken a wrong turn to see what it would do, and it steers me back on path flawlessly. The speakers are loud and clear, can even hear them quite well over my car stereo. I have no problems seeing the bright screen, and I have no start up issues with mine, I turn it on and it loads in about 30 seconds. No problems whatsoever!!

I had no problems with my unit. It did take approx 2 min to get a signal in the house, but takes less than 30 seconds in the car. Touch screen is user-friendly.

I am very happy with this product. It helped give me my travelling confidence back. Moved to a new area and this GPS tell you various attractions, give me enough time to change lanes when I approach exit, then give me a with a bells when it time to turn. It takes the worry out of being in unfamiliar territory. Even my husband was playing with it and asked to use it on one of his excursions. I highly recommend it.

I ordered this for my Husband and it worked about a week and then went crazy. I downloaded the software update, to no avail. After much useless trouble-shooting I was told to send it back,, but only the unit, no accessories, which I did.
They sent me a brand new unit in the box with all the original items and FedEX left it on the porch of a neighbor!!

I bought the Roadmate and within two months, and two times used, the battery quit working. I called Magellan and they immediately replaced it. Sent me a new replacement before they even received the broken one from me. Excellent customer services. Now we'll see how the new Roadmate works.

This is not a bad GPS at all. The only thing i have found with is sometimes it will take you out of your way to go back to the same place. Its like the systom does not no the read is comp. Over all easy to use & over all good buy for the money

This is a very nice gps with an easy to read screen and very easy to figure out. I have had this product for about 4 months now. The only complaint I have about it is that a couple of times it has landed me in the wrong spot when I have put in directions. Luckily I knew where I was and how to get to the right spot. One time it was just a street over and usually mapquest makes the same mistake in this area and the other time it was out in a very rural spot in Indiana so it might have just not had all of the information correct. It landed me on the correct road and number but it was on the East 1200 instead of to the West 1200 where I was supposed to be. Overall I think this is a great unit and worth the money. I am happy with the product and would recommend it to a friend.

I love my Maggie as I call her. It"s great finding food and gas on the road. It also doesnt talk you to death. The maps are so realistic you won't need an atlas. Great finding local POIs too. Widescreen is wonderful & easy to see.Only bad thing is that it keeps missing my apartment. I live on the left and it says I live on the right. It is accurate about every other single thing except my house. Got it home and 7 days later it saved me 5 hours and 300 miles on a trip I take several times a year. It paid for itself first shot. At night it changes immediately to a dark screen, which is pretty kool since the road maps already look so realistic it is even better to read. Buy this if you're even thinking about it, its worth it.......

The word "South" on my Magellan is not understandable along with other vocal, directive words: That defeats the purpose of purchasing this GPS.
Magellan's "customers" PAY the return postage when Magellan ships a NEW, DAMAGED/DEFECTIVE GPS unit. Why?
A Magellan representative AND Magellan Manager informed me that they were not ALLOWED to give me the name, phone number or address of Magellan's CEO. The Manager did offer some "corporate" address...wish I had kept my Tom Tom. :-(

It is not that easy to use. By the time I get it up and running I am almost there. It does give me directions but if I stop or go a different way I have trouble getting it to start up again. I guess I haven't done as much as I should have to learn to use it. I would recomment it to others. Not too bad.

The wide screen is great. It was unable to map a location and it would ask you to enter it again and again. Magellan support knew about the problem. Fix the problem...don't inconvenience the customer. No reflection on HSN.
