Beautiful, but ineffective

Although these globes are beautiful, they don''t work! Even when poking a hole in prior to insertion the dirt still gets stuck in the tube, which results in no water coming out. Another frustration was that some of the tubes were too small to get the water to go into the chamber. The water coming out then was a drip at a time, if at all...and again,that was after trying to get the dirt out! Don''t waste your time or money on these.

They are very nicely made, vibrant colors, even if it does look a little odd sticking out of a potted plant. They seem to work well. The only problem is how difficult they are to fill.

I ordered these after receiving a stunning, hand-blown one for Mother''s Day from my son. I liked the concept so much, I went online to find more & found these. Over time, I have ordered two sets for my mother, a set for my sister in law, & another set for myself. While they don''t take the place of watering everything, especially larger plants, they make a great option for times when you travel, when the weather is extra hot, or for those water-gulping plants that you just can''t overwater.

These globes work wonderful and are also very pretty in my plants. Just follow the directions and you won''t have any problems. Face it ladies, if you water your plants more than 1 1/4 cups water every 2 weeks then you are going to have to fill the globe more often. The globe lets me know when it is watering time again. I have purchased 2 sets for myself, one set for my daughter and another set for gifts. GREAT PRODUCT!!

A person has to learn how to put these in their plants just right, but, when you do, wow.. saves alot of time watering plants outside , and really handy when you are on vacaton. We do not have to ask someone to water out plants. I got three sets and gave one as a gift. I was going to give one more, but decided to keep it. works great.

Pros: Arrived intact, pretty, larger than anticipated. Cons: Soil frequently plugs up openings, water lasts 4 days at best. I bought these to replace manual watering but because I have to check their water levels and make sure they''re working every day it''s easier to simply water my plants myself when I know they need it. I''ll save the Aqua Globes for when I travel and don''t have to worry about asking a friend to water my plants.

I am back for four more sets... I have many house plants and am planning a 10 day hospital stay. These wonderful globes will help my husband keep them all happy... They are easy for him to use. We have had no problems filling them following the instructions. ....I also include one in every plant i give as a gift...Unusual but very welcome.

Received these the other day and love them. Besides being pretty they are useful. My husband said to get them. I have a large bouganvilla and mandevilla that I bring inside for wintering (Michigan) and they will be very helpful keeping them watered. The mandevilla is new because I killed the old one because I couldn''t keep it watered properly. I''m hoping the aqua globes are mu answer. I love plants in and out.

I''m using these in hanging and rail sitting pots. They are in direct sun all day and for that reason I have to fill the globes a couple of times a week. My plants are thriving and I''m going to buy a couple more sets. I think that I''ll use them with my houseplants during the winter. |
