I just tried my new machine. It worked great! My house is about 20 years old, and the floors in the bathroom just didn''t look white anymore. They now sparkle. My kitchen floor is smoother, and the machine just zoomed over it. I used a clean mop cloth for each floor because this machine really picked up the dirt. I just love a very clean house, and now I have it. Easy set up. Easy clean up.

After reading the reviews, I almost didn''t order, but for the sale price and 30 day guarantee, I went ahead. I think it''s great, it obliterates all the sticky messes the kids make. This is so much better than filling a mop bucket and trying to scrub the floors and they never get completely clean. I like that it can sanitize, too. It is not hard for me to push on the floor, and I don''t feel it leaves the floors wet, they dry very quickly. I would recommend, give it a try!

This steam mop is great. I used distilled water and had beautifil results on both vinyl and ceramic floors. It is a GREAT value for the money. Before I purchased this from HSN, I checked at Macy''s, their price (as of 7/26/08) for the same product in grey is; Bissell Steam Mop Reg. $99.99 Sale $89.99 and only two mop heads and no hanger. You really get so much more from HSN!

After 3 tries, it seems clean, but after tries 1-2 with tap water, the surface looked hazy. Try no. #3 looked better. I called Bissell and they didn''t have a clue why. They said they were sending me more mop heads. DUH! I thought maybe it was the minerals in the tap water so then I tried distilled. Did it all again. Ceramic tile looks okay now, but it TOOK SOME THE FINISH OFF OF MY NEVER-WAX FLOORING!!!! Thank goodness it''s in a small bathroom. Mine will go back.

I have 3 kids 4 and under...my floors are always messy. I confess, I rarely mopped ''cause what was the point. Now, after sweeping or vacuuming the kitchen floor, I just fill the water in the steamer, plug in and almost immediately start to mop the floor. It''s quick and easy and it''s nice to know the floor is clean for my young ones. The downside is that my linoleum floors are a tad duller than if I used a chemical to mop up the floor, but I can live with that. I highly recommend this product.

I was very upset by the comments here of floor drenched after cleaning and laminate warped. I decided to try it anyway. Common sense says that the cloth is going to get too wet to hold more water. My solution, just get another pad. It really did melt the spots off the tile! The other comment that got my attention was the warping floor. While the steam is hot, I can only imagine that you could warp the floor by leaving it too long in one spot. It cleaned my wood floors impressively!
Quit working during 2nd use

Very disappointed. Used for 10 minutes the first day I got it. The next day was using for less than 5 minutes and it just stopped working. It went straight back along with extra cloth head kit and warranty I paid extra for. |
