Bad smell

I bought a lot of Western Bagels from HSN along w/these gold bags and they developed a foul smell soon after putting them in the bags. I was very disappointed in the bags and threw them out.

I love these bags and I am ordering more for my family members. Even my husband has commented on the fact that the fruit actually keeps it color and flavor for a long time. I can buy the grocery specials and not worry about it being too much for the two of us.

I bought these bags as a set with the green bags, which I LOVE. I have had crackers and chips in them so long that I forgot they were there, but they had not gone bad. I did have problems with bread that was very moist. I ordered the green boxes and noticed a strong smell and taste in some tomatoes that had been inside for ten days. I was disappointed in the taste, but amazed by the ten days. I will try some more that are in the boxes for less time. Did anyone else have this problem?

People are always so quick to write bad reviews. The green bags keep things fresh for a lot longer, gold bags work great for me with pastry, breads, dog and cat food stays a lot fresher. I have the containers, really like using them for leftovers, lunch meats. I think a lot of people expect miracles, that isn''t reality, I can only say that Debbie''s products have made my life a little easier and for that I''m grateful. Thanks Debbie, JB in Illinois

I live in a humid area and if not for these bags, I would have to throw away bread much sooner. They work great for me. I put bread, cookies and cereal in these bags and they do keep these foods fresher than plastic containers. I love them!

THE GOLD BAGS DO NOT WORK!!!!! Do not waste your money like I did. In fact I was ripped off with the TSV that combined the green bags with the gold I don''t feel I got any type of value. All of my bread,& bagels went to mold. I even took the time to wipe out the moisture from the bag and my bread went to mold within days. I wish I had the time to return them for my money back but due to ill-ness I was unable to I have a very bitter taste in my month about HSN.

I bought 2 sets. No matter what type bread, in 2 days the mold starts every time. Regarding the few positive reviews, I wonder if the product is also inconsistent? Chips and snacks do fine, but NO bread products do. I really think HSN should refund the money spent on these bags, since so many people experienced the mold problems. I actually feel violated to have been so taken advantage of like this..... I had lots more to say but had to delete: why the character restrictions on writing, HSN?

I, TOO, LIKE PREVIOUS REVIEWERS, FEEL RIPPED OFF BY THIS PRODUCT. I PLACED A FRESH LOAF OF BREAD IN ONE OF THESE GOLD BAGS AND ALTHOUGH THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF MOLD A STRONG, FOUL, AMMONIA SMELL HAD PERMEATED THE WHOLE LOAF! I EVEN TRIED ANOTHER LOAF AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. NOW I''M STUCK WITH A WHOLE SHELF FULL OF THESE GOLD BAGS AND THINK HSN SHOULD RETHINK THIS IDEA AND IMPROVE UPON IT BEFORE SUBJECTING THEIR CUSTOMERS TO ANY MORE OVER/EXAGGERATED CLAIMS.
Moldy bread

I bought 2 loaves of bread and put them in the gold bags, 7 days later mold was on both loaves. Dont put any baked goods in these bags they do better in their original packaging. However the bag are doing good for snacks. Put not worth the money!

I love these bags. We have put bread, bagels, doughnuts,&rolls in these bags. They have kept everything nice and and so soft. The only thing I would like to see with these bags is of they could offer a biger set. |
