Sorry, Not for someone with a Knee injury!
I liked the idea of these shoes and the look/comfort OK. However, I''ve had a previous knee surgery and recovered from it until wearing these shoes. They through my knee cap into a different abnormal position resulting in excruciating pain and a return to physical therapy. I wear lots of different shoes including Birk''s and this has never happened. I can''t recommend a shoe that can do this for anyone!
Elevated toes no longer hurt
/ Kellie, AZ
I love these shoes! I was 6 weeks post-op for toe surgery and still couldn''t find anything closed toed to wear. I actually bought them because of the posture benefits but by the time they arrived had decided it had been a mistake. Since they had already arrived, I tried them on and because the toes are higher than the heel, it took the pressure off my toes--my toes hurt less and my posture is improved too! I wish I''d bought 2 at the Today''s Special price.
Different is a good thing
/ Claudia, NY
I used to wear earth shoes back in the 70''s. I was really excited about these shoes and I was not disappointed. They change your posture so watch out when you stand up in them for the first time. You might feel off balance, but you adjust to the correctness of your stance quickly. Give it a try. Different really is a good thing.
The best I Tried!!
/ J
I am on my feet between 8-10 hours a day with hardly ever sitting down. My feet hurt so bad daily that I had tried the $300.00 insoles from good feet ( that are now just in my closet) I still wear my birkenstocks in the summer) First I am glad they are in a tennis shoes style, I can say from the way my feet felt after I got home is about a 50 - 75% improvement. I will be looking into buying more. TRY THEM..esp if you have aching feet.
Not for me
I wish these had been comfortable for me but they are not. While I like the idea of shifting weight to the heel vs the ball of the foot, the shoe is too narrow and rubs in the back. I wanted to like these but have to send them back.
Unbelievable!!
/ Kathy, MO
I am in my 50''s and was a hairdresser for over 25 years. Needless to say I have bad feet. I have tried a lot of shoes to find something I could wear longer than an hour. I wasn''t sure at first because you definitely walk funny like walking uphill. But after breaking them in what a difference. I can wear them all day and half the night. Outstanding shoe. My feet love them!
It''s ok...just that, OK
/ Roc_chic, HI
There''s nothing special about these shoes. You can get the same qualities at a lower price. I certainly wouldn''t pay over $100! I got them at a TS for $69 and for that reason i will keep, otherwise i would send back if i paid the full price.
Great shoes but...
These shoes are actually comfy. It might feel strange the first time you wear them but you''ll get use to it. They are wide at the toe area which means more wiggle room. I''m giving this a 4 star because of the smell. I''ve had this for awhile and the smell of new shoes is too strong. It still hasn''t subsided. It''s a little embarrassing when you are in a room with lots of people around. It made me self-conscious. But this shoe is still a must get.
Arch support too high
/ gi, CA
I was excited to get these shoes hoping that I could do alot more walking in them versus other brands because of the support. The arch is a bit too high for me and after going for a good walk, I experienced pain in my heels and my arch (after I took the shoes off). I am tempted to send these back but I am going to try a different insole (Dr. Scholl''s or Birkenstock''s) and see if it works better for me. Other than that, there is a lot of toe space which is hard to find in a good walking shoe.
Great investment
/ Carolyn, OK
I have had my shoes for about 2 weeks now. It took a little bit to break them in but they are so comfortable and I can tell a big difference in the way my feet feel. Worth the investment. I will be buying another pair. |
