I tried four times to get the cameo as pictured, and only got the one described by the others whose luck also ran out on this one. All four got sent back. The cameo pictured is beautiful. The ones I received look like a beginner did them. The face is nothing special. The tilt to the head doesn't exist. The curl on the left shoulder loks lke a wing. Terrible carvig quality. I have eight M&M S cameos that are gorgeous. This one is NOT!Don't waste your time and shipping costs on trying to get a good one.

I ordered this cameo a couple of months ago and have worn it a few times. Every time I do, I get wonderful comments from friends and even strangers. The one I received is even more beautiful than the one pictured. The carving is flawless and has a delicate simple elegance. I have another cameo (ordered over two years ago) that I also love, but because it is much more intricate it appears more "formal." This one is perfect to wear every day! I am extremely pleased with the quality of both of the cameos I have purchased from HSN; although they are quite different, they are equally beautiful.

I ordered two of this particular cameo (first one, then another), trying to beat the odds and get one that looks like the picture; but I struck out twice. The pictured cameo is clearly done by a master artist. The two I got are similar, but not nearly as masterfully done. If the smooth, dreamy, artistic softness of this cameo is what appeals to you, as it did to me, I hope you don't get one similar to both of mine. I am keeping one of them, because they are nice; but neither of mine was nearly as artistically done as the one pictured. I do realize that they will all be different (I'm an artist myself), but the one pictured is SO much better than either of the ones I received. I'm still very disappointed.

I GOT MY CAMEO YESTERDAY AND SO EXCITED TO SEE IT BUT WITH DISAPPOINTMENT HAVING TO SEE IT AS NOT AS PICTURED. I KNOW THESE ARE HAND MADE JEWELRIES AND NO TWO CAN BE EXACTLY THE SAME BUT TO SEE MINE COMPARED TO THE PICTURE HERE IS TO SAY I HAVE AN OLD LADY ON MY CAMEO. I'M THINKING OF RETURNING IT BUT WITH ALL THE HASSLE AND MONEY SPENT FOR SHIPPING I'LL THINK IT OVER AGAIN. I'M AN ARTIST MYSELF SO I HAVE THE EYES FOR THE FINE DETAILS, SO DISAPPOINTED.

I just received my Cameo and it looks just like the picture. I think it is stunning and will were it along with my other cameos that I bought from HSN.

THIS IS MY THIRD ORDER FROM SCOGNAMIGLIO.HOWEVER THIS ONE DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE.ON HER LEFT SHOULDER IT LOOKS LIKE A WING NOT HER FLOWING HAIR...ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF HER HEAD HER HAIR IS NOT FLOWING OVER SHOULDER AND THE CROWN OF HER HEAD IS NOT FULLY CARVED.SHE IS NOT LOOKING UP AS DEPICTED.SORRY I'M SENDING IT BACK..BUT I WILL TRY AGAIN LATER...I REALLY DO LOVE THE PICTURE.AND WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE THE ONE SHOWN

I have always wanted a cameo. My piece does not look exactly like the carving in the picture but the young woman looks exquisite nevertheless. I get plenty of compliments whenever I waer it and everyone asks where I bought it. This is just a great piece I ordered my daughter one. I plan to hand this one down to my grandaugher. It's well worth the price.
I think I got the one the last reviewer returned..

While it had all fine craftsmanship we come to expect from M&M Scognamiglio my cameo really did not match up with the photo. I know they are handcrafted and each is unique and that is why they are so special, but I ordered this cameo for the serene expression on the woman's face and the windswept style of her hair... My cameo was far from this description. She had an upturned nose, like the carver slipped and lips like a duck. Also her hair on the left side really did resemble a clam sitting on her shoulder! And I thought the previous reviewer was silly for saying that, but I think I must have gotten the one she returned! Needless to say, I returned mine as well. If you don't have your heart set on the one presented or shown here, it is a great value, otherwise be ready to return it. It does not have the same emotion that the one shown here has.

Unfortunatey, I did not receive one that was carved as beautifully as the picture. The cameo was thick and well put together, but mine looks as though she is frowning. The hair under her chin is shaped like a giant clam shell on her shoulder! I am also one of the customers that would like to see a more substantial bail on these cameos.

I didn't get this one but I rec'd one today similar to this.The first time I ordered a cameo,I was disappointed so I returned it.I tried for the 2nd time around and I was very happy.I was so excited that I wore it right away and wouldn't take it off except of course when I shower.I love the detailing of these cameos from Scognamiglio.I prefer the 35-40mm sizes.I'm now a convert and look forward to my next purchase. |
