This machine is excellent if you read the instructions you will NOT have all these problems.I can use the threader with my eyes closed! Please read instructions & watch the video, or purchase the additional instruction software if you still have a problem because this machine is the easiest machine I have ever had! When you learn to use it you will never be without it! I downloaded & embroidered a design in 10 minutes of receiving it! Jesus Loves You!

Purchased this when it was the "tsv". I watched the dvd''s, read the manuals-just couldn''t get it. I was ready to send it back and found the Yahoo Futura group which was great. I immediately was up and embroidering. Then about a week ago it started acting funny..everything that could - did - go wrong with it. Too late now-I''m stuck with it-I call Singer almost every day with something they can''t answer. I''ve cleaned it, changed needles, thread, bobbins-you name it! A big expensive mistake.

This is a great machine! I had past embrodiery machine experience so it was easy to learn. I understand it could be a challenge if you have no experience. I bought a longer usb cord at the discount store so my computer can be in the next room. If you hook the computer up and start the software, you can then disconnect the usb cord until you are ready to transfer the design. If you take the time to learn the machine you will love it!
problems with software

The reason I returned this machine is that I couldn''t transfer embroidery designs which I downloaded from the web to the futura program that I installed in my computer I spent hours trying to solve this problem. Instructions that come with the machine are not very thorough...too hard to trouble shoot!

I get a thread breakage error when I begin to sew. It takes a while to fool around with it to get it to work. The auto threader is a waste: it''s more difficult to find the little doo-hicky then it is to thread the needle yourself. You have to connect it to the computer to look at the designs and read the instruction manual. The instruction manual has to be downloaded, and is not written very well. The wind has been knocked out of my sails. I''m not enjoying it as much as I had hoped.

I ALREADY HAVE THE FUTURA CE 200 , BOUGHT THIS ONE FOR THE ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE WITH THE SPECIAL, EMBROIDERY IS AWSOME. AND EASY TO USE, HAVE ONLY DONE A COUPLE PROJECTS SO FAR, BUT SEWS LIKE A DREAM, INITIALLY TAKES SOME TIME TO LEARN YOUR MACHINE BUT WELL WORTH IT, I STILL USE MY OTHER MACHINE AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM WITH IT , WANTED THE SOFTWARE TO EXPAND THE POSSIBILITIES AND WAS CHEAPER TO BY ANOTHER MACHINE WITH THE SOFTWARE THAN TO JUST GET THE SOFTWARE, WHICH IS PRICEY

Opened box as today was last day to return! Expected problems from reading reviews! I really like it! I recommend it! Need patience initially, but if you follow directions, there are minimal problems. Looking forward to everything I can make with it! (if fabric not tight enough, says "thread broken"). 4 in 1 software was single CD on top of box when opened! Will need to learn how to use software! Joining Yahoo groups for Futura machines, for support!

I was SO excited to open the box, but after 4 1/2 hours of trying to get the machine to work I finally called HSN and, thank goodness, am able to ship it back to them. VERY disappointing machine. Not user friendly at all. Complicated instructions (if you can call them that) on the computer and when I called Singer they weren''t helpful either. It''s being shipped back tomorrow. My Brother machine (15 years old) is so much easier to use.

There is no 4-in-1 software. The choices HSN offered me was to 1) return the machine 2) return the machine and they would mail me another one or 3) accept $90 for the machine as-is. The idea of mailing an entire HUGE box back to HSN just get another HUGE box back when all I need is a little envelope with another CD is sheer lunacy. I''m also not going to accept a $90 credit for a missing $400 in merchandise. I will NEVER purchase from HSN again. |
