I recieved my machine second week of Dec., but with Christmas plus unexpected surgery just used it for the first time. It seems to sew slowly plus doesn''t sound as sturdy when sewing as I''m used to. Thanks to the reviewer who so kindly let me know where the instructions for serger were. May have more good to say after more use.

When this machine arrived, my 81 year-old Mum sat down and used it like she had been using it forever! We were impressed at how easy and intuitive it is to use. Needless to say, the pajamas we were making for grandchildren got made in record time. I was dreading the button holes but I made them in just a few minutes! My Mum liked comparing this machine to her old machine. She kept saying, "look, it does this and this and this just like mine used to". I just ordered one for her!

i like the machine as is much quieter than my old. however, do not feel the cutter foot is all it''s cracked up to be, which was a big selling point. my serger will always be my choice, even in a pinch. as was a gift, thought i may keep, but alas i still go to the old. so return it must be.

I love this machine! I had a cheap machine for 6 years and it was o.k. for the basic stuff, but I really hated it. I saw the Singer machine when it was the TS and thought it looked really nice. I really love the clear bobbin feature. Also, the pedal does not "jump start", so sewing stays nice and smooth. I also like how when I let off the pedal, the machine automatically returns the needle to the highest position. Since this machine is super easy to use, I find myself using it often.

Folded instructions for serge are in zipbag with serge foot. Easy to install. Made set if pillowcase first day with overcast stitch/serge foot,finished with crescent top stitch for hem. Recommend putting manual in clear plastic binder for extended use. Great chart of stitch length/width, needle size, and thread type. Light not bright enough for my eyes. Love the auto threader and auto stitch settings. Wanted a new sewing machine and a serger. This fit the bill for me.

I love the machine. I was so excited when I received it and could not wait to use it but I cannot figure out how to use the serger.I suggest that HSN sends instructions to all the customers that purchased the machine.

I am brand new to this whole sewing experience and I have to say that I am very impressed with this machine. Although I really have nothing to compare it to a friend of mine who is an experienced sewer fell in love with my machine and wound up purchasing one herself. It is easy to use and portable. My only problem is that there are no instructions on how to use the serger function. It doesn’t mention it anywhere in the manual. I will have to call singer otherwise I truly love my Machine!!
Stitches don''t lock - Anyone else? Any advice?

Very disappointing! I’ve sewed lots on lots of different machines, and have never had the following problem, until this machine. There is no way that the bobbin thread can follow the exact path shown on the diagram - at least not on the machine I got. Maybe that''s why the top thread and bobbin thread never locked to form a secure stitch. I called Singer for 3 hours, and never got through. Anyone else have this problem? If so, how did you resolve it?

right out of the box I made my first project. How easy is this to use, incredible. Its my first comuterized machine and I was worried it would be diffcult. This is one great sewing machine. I have two other brands but this one is by far the best, the easiest, fastest to use.

I don''t know how I ever managed without this machine. I have only had it for 9 days and already have sewn 3 kids pajamas, 4 purses, 4 wallets, and many other things. This is the best product I have ever bought. The serger aspect is fantastic and easy to use. |
