It gives you a workout
/ Cheryl, OH
Mine didn''t come with the mat that the directions clearly stated was included(Call HSN customer service). I''ve had no problems with a bad smell or noise. This will give you a good workout in only 5 minutes to start out with. It gets my heart rate up and my legs feel the burn. I''ve only used this on carpet and it does move a little but not enough that I have to get off of it and put it back in place. You should watch the DVD to learn how to properly use it.
shin splints
/ , WI
I am 37 and ordered this product when I developed shin splints from running on my treadmill. Rather than stay idle while they healed I ordered the Rock n Roll,I love it! The work out is as difficult as you make it. If you want high intensity, add hand weights and go fast. Arm movements increase the level, it''s great! The video is good to use as motivation - especially for those early morning work outs when it''s tough to get yourself going. Ladies don''t hesistate, this is worth the money.
FRUSTRATING
/ Lynn, MA
This machine moves around after 20 seconds of use. It really does walk all over the place. It is extremely frustrating to have to get off and reposition it and then get back on. Also, customer service is a nightmare. I never received a reply to my e-mails or phone calls. This was a total waste of hard earned money. I would return but it would be too expensive to ship back. Save your money.
You do sweat!
I do get a good amount of sweat after the 10-15 minute workouts. It is fun because it''s different. But the videos are lacking. There''s only one routine on each. It does get pretty boring if you use it more than twice. Tony Little could have easily put the total body and the bun workout on the same DVD and come up with another routine or two. Mine didn''t come with a mat, even though the pamphlet said it should. I have mine on carpet and it does move around the room when I use it.
Not for Novices
/ Maria, MD
Like most of the other reviews I have to say this was a waste of money and then when I returned it they only refunded me one payment. Unbelievable. I have worked out for 30 years and more and found this to be unstable and not very good. People are better off staying with the tried and true like treadmill walking and strengthtraining... but of course they always have to come up with gimmicks, to take peoples money... well I am getting smart... no more
Great Piece of Workout Equipment
/ Glori, CA
I did not read the reviews before getting the Rock and Roll Stepper. I''m glad I didn''t. It might have made me not order it. I just turned 49 a week ago. I''m starting to get into working out so I don''t gain too much weight. I''ve gone through one workout. It does take a little getting used to as far as balancing but after you get used to it, it''s great. I love Tony on the DVDs. There was no smell or squeak and I have it on carpet and it doesn''t move. I LOVE THIS MACHINE!
VERY UNSTABLE!
The concept of this item looked great on-air! When I got it home, it was quite high off the ground and hard to stabilize on when in use. Feels dangerous without a stabilizing bar to hold on to. Moves around way too much. It''s going right back!!!
poor customer service
/ Cindy, IA
I was excited to receive the product and used it immediately. Unfortunately it has left black streaks on my carpet. The Stepper did not come with a mat. The one I purchased locally was torn due to roughness on the rollers. I called the customer service number listed and was told I would receive a return call within 48 hours. That call never came. I called again and was told to purchase a new mat from them. Customer service was missing!
Defective
/ Lori, CA
I gave this three stars because it actually feels like it could work if the quality of the machine was better. Something needs to be done so it doesn''t walk all over the room. Also, the smell is strong, but I could have handled that. The rubber on the bottom rolling part of the machine started to peel away after only a week or so. I''ll be sending this back. I had high hopes that this would be the machine for me, but at this point I don''t even want to try to get a replacement.
More difficult than it appears on TV
/ , AZ
I''ve had this for about two weeks. I have some knee trouble and that causes some difficulty, and it isn''t anywhere as easy as the models make it look on TV. You MUST wear shoes of some sort with this because the foot area is textured and rough. For those of us who tend to go around the house barefoot, it requires the extra step of putting on shoes. Wait for a sale on it and apply an online coupon, if you can. Free shipping made a big difference. |
