A Blessing for Seniors as well as busy people

I have the 10 cup and love it for Quinoa,rice,other recipes & steaming veggies. I bought the 5 quart for cooking smaller amounts of grains or keeping things warm. I bought 5 quart for my 91 year old uncle who didn''t have the energy to cook properly and HE LOVES IT !! He is cooking and eating better and his health and energy have improved. Thanks Wolf and Deb. I am now buying a 7 quart to better cook recipes from Debra Murray''s great Rice Cooker Cookbook.

I am extremely happy that I bought this rice cooker. I do not cook, because I am usually on the go. Since I got my rice cooker that has changed. When I get home from work, I toss the ingredients into the cooker, take my shower and when I come downstairs...dinner is done! The 5-cup is perfect for single meals and very easy to clean up. I am going to purchase the 7-cup for when I have company. I only gave this product 4-stars because I haven''t had it for too long.

great little gadget, makes rice, veggies and even pasta dishes. you have to keep a look out for doneness etc. (but you''d have to do same while cooking on stovetop). Not magical more like practical. easy cleanup..

This unit will not cook Brown Rice-try 3 bathes-all made a mess-the condensation collector overflow twice--the inner lid cannot be remove for cleaning-DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!

This is my second WP rice cooker. I purchased a 2nd one for our camper. I had the 10qt one and by accident did not realize this was a 5 quart but it''s even more perfect for camping. Rice cooker cookbook goes great with this purchase. Highly reccommend both. Thank you Wolfgang Puck and HSN for such great produts. I have WP cookware, food processer, knife set, sarku knive set. Had the convection oven but the knob broke off. Otherwise WP produts are excellent and affordable.

This is an okay product for small batches of rice, but I wasnt looking for a rice cooker. I was sold on the non-rice uses. Tried a small batch recipe for tapioca pudding. What a boiled over mess. Not sure I will ever get it clean again. 2nd WP product that was a disappointment for me.
Broke after 4 times of use. Rice was not great!

I will never buy from HSN without reading reviews. I trusted HSN and Wolfgang so I purchased 3, one for myself and two for gifts. The rice did not cook up as well as it does in my old, worn out rice cooker and I used it 4 times and it just stopped working. I plugged it in and it turned on for a second and just dropped dead. This is not a good product worthy of the name of Wolfgang Puck.
Difficult to clean

I feel that it''s too much trouble to make rice with this rice cooker because it''s so difficult to clean. The nonremovable lid is hard to clean PLUS you need to clean the steam holder. I prefer an old fashioned Chinese rice cooker with a removable lid.

Like I said I love this cooker. I''ve cooked the mac and chesse and mac and tomotes and they both turned out great. This cooker is great for making vegables for up to six people. I just bought another one for my Daughter for her birthday.. Thanks WOLFGANG PUCK Debi in Texas

first of all, the upper and outer inside of the lid/rims get crud and is hard to clean, can be cleaned but hard to manage. second, the interior of the bowl is non stick teflon type, and will scratch even with a wooden spoon and it starts to come off from the sides and insides too. and the bottom line, you can NOT purchase the inside bowl anywhere to replace it. to me this was a waste of money. not happy at all. had it for 6 months. |
